?な感じ、まあ、好きに作ればいいということなのだろうけど、このプラモが始めての人はちょっと混乱するかも、本体の成形色がノーマルのGP-02よりグレーが少し濃いがそれはそれでカッコイイです。

like the original High Grand 1:144 scale, this model comes with the iconic giant shield the Physalis is known for. but this model comes with a beam bazooka instead of its Atomic bazooka, the difference is mostly cosmetic and the model can still complete the look the gundam had in the show with the bazooka out.
this model also includes a series of six MLRS Pods that can attach to the backpack. for display I find having the left MLRS pod and the beam bazooka displayed has the best imposing effect. the figure has decent Articulation for its size and has fantastic accessories, 2 Beam sabers which store in its hip panels. the bazooka barrel and trigger that stores in the shield like in the show, the bazooka butt/shoulder connection component that stores on the right shoulder, and two beam saber effect parts.
unfortunately I had to glue the right and left hands together to stay together, the left hand is now forever holding its shield, but due to the fact that in the show it rarely ever drops said shield, it don't bother me.
the arm does hold the shield quite well for my model and the plastic is nicely durable, much to my surprise! unlike the HGAC Wing Gundam I got, the V Crest is made of a thicker plastic so I'm not as worried about it as I was with the Wing's which broke before. so there is very little I worry about aside the effect parts for the beam sabers.
articulation wise do not expect any extreme poses the feet are so big they don't move much and there is no upper thigh swivel. the arms only go up to 90 Degrees, and the hands only swivel. But the wrist cuffs are built to pivot only up and down. the shoulder binder thrusts can rotate, and splay out quite nicely however. the thrust cones are on balljoints and the engines can bend downward at 90 degrees. one plus, Independent Side skirt movement!
I think the one thing I Am disappointed with is the amount of stickers, or seals. 27 stickers make up the yellow, metallic red, eyes, forehead vents, waist cod piece, chest vents, shield, legs, Vulcans, and one for the shoulder designation number. II only found myself using a mere few of them, just the eyes and shield. the rest I painted myself.
this model is quite awesome on its own, the original Gundam RX-78GP02A HGUC 1/144 Scale Model kit with Atomic Bazooka is available but they are basically the same but with this one you get a different bazooka and a new set of weapons. IF you prefer Screen accuracy, get the other version. its a few dollars cheaper and looks just as good. as for me I am quite happy with this one and I do like the extra weapon MLRS pods. the plastic is quite durable and I am very happy with it. but if I do choose to get the other it will be for the extra parts just in case I would like to display it with the original Atomic Bazooka, or without the shield. but that is just me. if you prefer get the original version. but this one is still pretty cool for those who want a couple extra accessories.
All in all it's still a great kit. I mixed the two HG Physalis kits to get what I think is the best colors overall OOB. Worth the purchase and I'll be getting a few more because I love the MS design.
As for the kit itself, well, I wish it was as durable as the real thing. The GP02 comes in with a rather imposing bulk, and that's before you equip the shield. Despite this bulk, the posability of the suit is actually very respectable, the arms can turn quite well, and are very easy to pose despite the massive boosters on each arm, the legs are heavy enough to keep the kit from tilting over in most cases, and the boosters on the arms even have a neat little internal set of parts so that the booster on the far end can be angled and point downwards, much like in the show! Indeed, my only complaint with the main build of the kit itself is that the arms and certain other parts are a bit loose, and can easily pop out. The stickers that come with the kit are nice, although the vulcan stickers are a bit...strange, even a straight-build person(such as myself) should probably pick up a Gundam Marker for that.
As for armaments, the MLRS variant comes with two beam sabers which come in a pleasing green, the massive radiation shield, the Multiple Launch Rocket System which is inserted into the back, and the Atomic Bazooka. All of these are...a bit disappointing, unfortunately. The beam sabers have a lot of trouble fitting in the hand, and need to effectively be wedged in, although the ability to sheathe them in the hip skirts is a nice touch. The MLRS has to be removed for the GP02 to use the Atomic Bazooka, and getting the lids onto them is a very annoying experience. The Atomic Bazooka is a nightmare to get together, as you effectively have to get it into "JUST" the perfect position, as the weapon is comprised of two main different parts(Just like the anime, to be fair), which, combined with the difficulty of posing the arm, makes an unpleasant experience overall.
In that paragraph, I didn't cover the Radiation Shield, the reason for that is because it is the absolute worst. As you can imagine, the shield is bulky, it is very heavy, the hand cannot support this weight. Getting it to hold the shield was such a struggle that I, someone who is actually very careful with these kits, ended up breaking the hand by accident, and had to glue it together. Thankfully, since the GP02 almost NEVER dropped the shield, this is perfectly reasonable unless you wanted the kit to use the two beam sabers together for some reason. Along with that, each of the radiator fins has to be slotted into the shield, and are very easy to pop out(Use glue on these fins!). I'm not sure if it was because my kit was defective(As I noted that some of the parts were noticeably nicked or chipped in certain parts), but the shield was the biggest struggle of it all. Even if you manage to get him to hold the shield without issue, posing it is another stressful endeavor, as oftentimes either the arm will pop out, the shoulder will pop out, the shield will jostle the hand apart, or one of many, MANY other issues. Again, to stress this point, super glue is your best friend if you're going to make use of the shield.
Unfortunately, the kit is kind of stingy with hands, you only get the two, which is a MASSIVE disappointment, as the kit could've greatly benefited from a shield-specific hand. Honestly, though, I do love this thing, as the GP02 is a rather unique unit when it comes to Gundams, and despite all these issues, I don't regret picking it up. Before you do, though, put some work into some other kits.
