疾走感溢れる「I Started A Fire」
リズミカルなAメロを経て美しいサビへの転換が絶妙な「You Can't Have It All」
ドラマチックな曲「End Of The World」

Polaris is the song for me though. I hadn't listened to Ash in ages immersing myself in The Gits, Smashing Pumpkins, Trail of Dead and Yourcodenameis:Milo and anything weird and wonderful like Mars Volta, but hey stop! I forgot Ash especially Tim's voice really touched me all those years ago and this song makes me cry its so deep and cuts like a knife its a song about struggle, heartache, failure, guilt and carrying on despite the odds and the way Tim sings it really brings those tears in my eyes-
"A beating heart, a distant star
We lost all we were fighting for
All the hurt i kept within
I blamed myself for everything
For all the regret that remains
For all the pain".
Suicide Girls is just classic Ash and it rocks like a bitch with Tim's trademark solos scorching as always.
End Of The World just takes you there. I know they get slammed for being a pop band but there's nothing wrong with that. I listen to all kinds of music, some of which would be considered NOISE like Skin Chamber, but you have to give credit where its due and Ash know how to write songs.
Palace Of Excess is another standout and so is Dark And Stormy with its beautiful atmosphere.
I really feel Ash have finally come of age with this their final album and what a journey its been.
If you like well written songs with meaning then this album is for you. If you don't then stick with Coldplay, Snowpatrol or Muse.
