With more of a punk sound that "This Modern Glitch", The Wombats explode onto the scene with a witty, fun and poignant album.
I discovered The Wombats during the closing credits of the show "The Inbetweeners." The song is on this album ("Moving to New York.") I think that perhaps I like the songs a bit better on their second album; maybe I just prefer the flow. However, I like the energy of this album a great deal more. That being said, I love to see a band evolve over time and they truly have done that.
So first I bought the Wombats' second album 'Modern Glitch' and decided that I should give this one a go as well.
When comparing the music side by side you do see rather big differences, the biggest being that their debut hasn't got as much 'electro-pop' elements to it and it just feels a little more real. I can't say this is good or bad. I like both the albums how they are and can't really say I prefer one or the other.
I bought this from Indigo Starfish on Amazon and had an amazing service with very good packaging and service. It was very quick taking into account it came from Jersey not the Amazon warehouse.
Recommended to anyone who likes this type of music and the Wombats.
