This NY band broke up shortly after releasing their first full LP (2009-10?), but are a spectacular find. The first time I listened (after discovering too late), I thought "This is what The Strokes should sound like NOW." Driving, classy and wonderfully thought-provoking rock. Great lyrics and very ethereal (lotta keys) with particularly excellent rhythms. Burning Birthdays is their EP and very professional with no filler out of the five songs. I don't know what the heck happened to these guys, but it's a shame. Key tracks: "Old Flames," "Red Right Hands" and "Felt Wings."
