After using various cleansers during my three decades in Japan, I am convinced that Kaneyon is the best in Japan for scouring and polishing stainless steel pots and pans, and copper bottomed pans. With a light scouring pad it readily removes stubborn deposits caused by long slow simmering in a saucepan, and with a non-abrasive sponge or nylon pad, after several treatments, it polishes a stainless frying pan to be as slick with very little oil on its surface as a so-called nonstick pan.
