3.0 Disappointing but OK

Given the great reviews this case received in numerous locations, including NewEgg, I was disappointed in what I got.

First the good: the case is both attractive and quiet, the latter due mainly to its huge top fan. There was plenty of room inside for my admittedly-limited requirements (optical drive, hard drive, motherboard, power supply).

Second the annoying: the case is somewhat wider than the typical home PC case (the Antec case is 8" wide, a typical consumer PC is in a case which is about 7" wide). This means that the Antec can't fit into a space which barely accommodates, for example, an old Gateway PC. That extra width means that there's room for the big fan and for plenty of airflow, so this is just one of those design tradeoffs.

Third the bad: there was a short in the wiring for the power LED. The LED has never worked on my copy of the case. In fact, the short is sufficiently bad that at one point there was a hard short to ground which caused the power supply to act as though it was defective. I've disconnected the power LED connector at the motherboard to prevent further repetitions of this problem. I read in another review that somebody else had a similar problem with the LED for the hard drive. The LED terminations are at one of the few inaccessible locations in the case, so I could not fix the problem myself. I could have returned the item for replacement as defective, but in practice that would be such a huge pain once I had everything installed that I elected to live with it.

5.0 Perfect micro atx case. Very quiet and well made.

Antec is a company that rarely fails at what they produce and this case is no exception. The design is superb with no sharp edges. The large 200mm top fan is almost silent and still moves a lot of air.. I purchased this case two and a half years ago and I have no problems with it. I have 6 harddrives in it (2 laptop drives occupying one standard drive bay and 4 desktop drives. This case is designed to natively hold 5 3.5 inch desktop drives and 3 5.25 inch optical drives. If you want to use a full length graphics card you can only mount 3 3.5 inch drives natively. I like how the power supply is mounting area is on the bottom where it is in its own partially sealed off chamber to encourage proper airflow right out of the case. The case is larger than some other micro atx cases but it also provides great cable management because of that. The only thing I will warn you about is that the power supply may need a longer 12v+ cables if you want to hide the cable under the motherboard. This case also has 3 washable dust filters to reduce dust entering the inside. The access panels are well made out of plastic and aluminum for sound absorption.

4.0 Excellent case, but slightly hard to work with

First, let me start by saying this is a phenomenal case. The two built-in fans on back and top move a ton of air and will keep your cpu very cool. I don't overclock, but I do run a heavy load. Very good airflow and plenty of space for extra fans. You will love it once you have it set up.

Space is very tight once everything is in place, so make sure you plan ahead for where all your cabling will go before trying to hook everything up. Take out the two main drive bays to give yourself space to get the motherboard in and be sure to connect the front panel connections before doing anything else. Those jumpers were ANNOYING because they kept coming loose on me, but if you do it this way and plan smart, you might be able to avoid some frustration. You have to unscrew the expansion card bay in order to get your video card in. It's tight if you want to try and stretch cable around back, but this isn't as bad as the full size p180. I'd still say you'll have trouble with a normal PSU's cord length if you want it around back. Fortunately, most things should be able to reach through the main cable gate without going around back. Make sure you keep wires clear of the fans and switch them to medium (there's a control tab on the back of the case). Low meant the fans were off.

Overall, the cooling is great (that 200mm top fan is massive). I wish they'd have separated the front panel headers to make things easier instead of having them all as one unit. That's my only real complaint since that'll likely frustrate the heck out of you anytime you actually have to get in there to change anything. I wasted enough time with them that I docked a star for it. Otherwise, I'd have given this 5 stars. You really can't go wrong with this one.

ALSO: know what you're getting. Unlike the p180, this is only for mATX and micro boards. If you have an ATX board, it will not fit.

4.0 nice little home-server case

I got this case to build a small home fileserver in, and it's worked out nicely for me. It's a bit pricey, but the construction quality reflects that - the design is well thought-out and integrated, there are no sharp edges to catch your cables or fingers on, and the sound deadening is effective. I took my components out of an antec Aria case (i.e. a small cube-shaped case) and put them in this one (plus a new power supply and 4 additional hard drives...) and the end result runs significantly quieter and cooler than before. I'm happy.

The minor downsides:
- You might end up needing longer cables than you expect because of the unusual internal layout.
- There's a good chance that your optical drive won't fit into the top 5.25" bay where you want it to. It's a short bay.
- Pricy case, _and_ you need to supply your own power supply. I'm fine with that, but the whole setup is not cheap.
- Despite the overall excellent cable routing arrangement inside, the power cables for the top and rear fans dangle awkwardly into the middle of the case. You have to get creative to keep them out of the way.

5.0 Great mATX case with lots of room

Great quality, classic looking, and quiet. Fits Corsair H70 brilliant in the top hdd bay.

The size is just barely smaller than a normal mid tower case. So it's quite large for a mATX case. But regardless it's still smaller than the ordinary case if you just want a case that's not so big and don't mind to use a micro ATX motherboard. And also because of that, there's plenty of room to play with. It fits pretty much any video card size once the bottom HDD cage is removed.
