MATT PRYORのアルバムを買ったのは、これがはじめてですが。 2008年と比較的新しい録音で、 「Loralai」「I`m Sorry Stephen」「Lovers Who Have Last Ther Cause」などの アコースティック ギター中心のやさしい音楽が僕の既聴感を刺激してくれ。 どこか、充実感の有る雰囲気が休日のリフレッシュに役立ちました。 「こんなアルバムに早く出会いたかったな。」 なんて、思うレコードですね!
ex)The Get Up KidsのMatt Pryor名義でのアルバム。 "The New Amsterdams", "The Terrible Twos"などで活動してますが この作品は上記のプロジェクトよりも、プライベートな感覚に近いです。 アコースティックギターを軸に、バンジョーやハーモニカの音色がとても心地いい。 メロウでMattの甘くもあり娘を持つ父親としての責任感が伝わってくる優しいヴォーカル。
My husband and I preordered this as soon as we found out about the solo album and it definitely did not disappoint. Having long been fans of the Get Up Kids and then the New Amsterdams, we looked forward to seeing what direction Matt Pryor's music would go next. Once the CD arrived neither one of us could get enough of the catchy, get-stuck-in-your-head album. We've since been trading it back and forth so we can both get our fix. This album is an even more stripped down version of the New Ams, with even more emotion pouring out! We are seeing him Wednesday night and can't wait to hear the live versions!
Being a huge TGUK fan, I'm not too sure why I've never purchased this album (maybe it's because I was slightly disappointed in a few songs I heard online from a different album). It's a shame I waited this long, but I guess never better late than never; very good album! Favorite tracks: "I wouldn't change a thing", "Where did I go wrong".
