This was recommended by a friend. I'm not a huge fan of Clap Your Hands, Say Yeah, but this solo session album by the bands singer is a wonderful departure. A great eclectic mix of music. Each song has taken its turn getting stuck in my head for days on end, wonderfully so. And I always enjoy a unique voice! Would love to hear another solo album from Alec.
I know Alec is somehow attached with another band(Clap Your Hands) but as a stand alone solo album, this is good stuff. Nothing too crazy or anything but just an overall solid album with good tunes. Vocally, his range is a higher pitch and slightly nasally and musically, we are talking modern alternative with piano, guitars and everything. Not a toss off kind of album at all...
