7作目の今作品は前作を受けて軌道修正すると思いきや、それ以上に変化を求めてます。
ドラムのパット・ウィルソンがギターを担当して、ジョシュ・フリースをサポートメンバーに迎えたり、
リヴァース・クオモと他のソングライターやプロデューサーと共作しているとか、そんなところが今までと違うところです。
これで前作での姿勢はあくまで今作の予兆だったのかな？と考えてしまいます。…自分はこの姿勢を支持したいです。
なぜかというと「RADITUDE」はバラエティ豊かな楽しいパワーポップで単純に気持ちよく聴ける曲ばかりだからです。
「(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To」〜「The Girl Got Hot」の楽しい流れで始まり、
電子音を駆使した「Can't Stop Partying」、インド音楽＋Weezerの「Love Is The Answer」、
ハードギター＆泣きのメロディ健在の「Let It All Hang Out」、パット・ウィルソン作「In The Mall」（歌はリヴァース）等
どんなアレンジもやっぱりこれはWeezer！とういう感じです。ただこの方向が行き過ぎて解散しなければいいのですが。

あと今作デラックスエディションということで４曲入ったボーナスCDがついてます。トホホな感じはありません。
（3曲目のサビは“この〜木なんの木気になる木〜”みたいな感じ。4曲目は「メリクリ」の原一博との共作。泣けます。）
もう前回みたいに更なるデラックスエディションみたいのがでないことを祈ります。

もう、今の彼らを昔ながらのオルタナティブとして語る人はいない。既に完全なエスタブリッシュメントされた存在であり、人生の成功者となったリヴァース率いるウィーザーが、ここまで満たされた後に何を渇望するのか。それが前作「レッドアルバム」あたりからの彼らのテーマになってるようだ。

前作では、ビートルズあるいはクイーンよろしく、メンバー４人の民主主義的な製作姿勢で音楽性の幅とバンドとしての成長を模索したが、本作では、楽曲提供面ではリヴァース中心の構造に戻ったものの、外部ライターとの共作によって音楽性の幅と同時代性をまとめて掴み取ろうという意欲が見て取れる。

個人的にはブッチ・ウォーカーとリヴァースの邂逅が眩しいほどの異彩を放っていて、共作した２曲の出来の良さが、そのまま相性の良さを物語っているように感じた。はじけるように明るく楽天的。まさに８０年代のＭＴＶや産業ロックの洗礼を受けた彼らのルーツの発露といえるかも。

確かに、憂いというか若者特有のウェットな感触はサウンド面からは後退している（歌詞にはその片鱗も残っているが、逆に無理が出始めている気もする）が、その分、聴き易さというか、ポピュラリティ獲得には成功していると思う。これを「オリジナリティの磨耗」「創造の限界」ととらえるか、「ベテランとしての冒険」「今の彼らにとっての王道」ととらえるか、で評価は分かれるだろう。私は後者。前向きに評価したいし、素直に出来の良い楽曲を楽しんでいる。

パワーポップもあればじっくり聴かせる曲もあり、聴いてて楽しい気持ちになります。リバース・クオモの才能は凄いですね。流石全世界で3500万枚売り上げただけあるスーパーバンドですね。このアルバムはファンなら間違いなくお気に入りの1枚になるでしょう。CD2枚組ですが二枚目は4曲入りです。1枚に纏めてもよかったでしょう。

今彼らがやりたい事がつまっていて、私はこのアルバムは買いだと思います。
昔と比べてしまうと不満が残る方もいらっしゃるかも知れませんが
「泣きの云々」だけがWeezerの持ち味ではないはず。

聞いていてとても気持ちが良く、曲によって様々な感情を引き出してくれる
素敵な一枚だと思います。
一所に留まり続けないWeezerの「今」を十分楽しめます。

　ユーチューブで聴いたら、今回は、なんだか軽やかだなと思いつつ、購入して何度か聴いてみたら、これ傑作じゃん。特に1と2と5がいい。是非ボリュームを上げて聴いてほしい。ポップの影に凶暴なロックが潜んでいてたまらんのじゃぁ。ボリュームアップでクオモの才能と狂気が露出する！

レッドアルバムは確かに微妙だった。ウィーザーもこれまでかと思ってて新作が出るって聞いても全く期待してなかった。
試聴機があったんで試聴してみたら…ところがどっこい!!何か弾けちゃった??良いじゃないかと思い即購入。ウィーザーはあの泣きメロが良かったとかそんなのもうどうでも良い。

これが今のウィーザーなんだって。俺は好きだよ。改めてウィーザーを見直した。GOOD!!

　僕は、このアルバムを聴いて素直にいいアルバムだと思いました。初期のサウンドを求めているいるファンの人もいると思いますが、リヴァース自身常に新し事にチァレンジしていきたい人なのです。いろいろ挫折を繰り返し今のweezerがあると思います。何より今はメンバーが音楽を楽しんでいるのが伝わってきます。アルバムはパワーポップ全開＠とても元気になるアルバムです。

I think it's great how Weezer can make music that reaches out to new fans while maintaining long-time fans such as myself. Many critics say that Weezer has become too commercial, but in my opinion, they have just become more creative. This album contains catchy riffs, cheesy and light-hearted lovestruck lyrics, and a collaboration with Lil' Wayne (Yes, Lil' Wayne!) that die-hard Weezer fans as well as the new ones will be sure to enjoy (not to mention a great bonus disk!). While the days of the Blue Album and "Pinkerton" have passed, Ratitude is a wonderful work fusing classic Weezer and new Weezer. I know that this review is long, but I belive you will find it very helpful.

The album starts off strong with "I Want You To", a great song, probably the album's best, with hit potential. It illustrates lead singer Rivers Cuomo's cheesy and awkward approach towards love. Backed up by a great instrumental effort, this is probably one of the catchiest songs around. "I'm Your Daddy" and "The Girl Got Hot" are very listenable (if that's a word) songs that parody pop music but still produce a decent sound. Then comes "Can't Stop Partying", the collaboration with Lil' Wayne! This is a track that early Weezer fans will probably be most likely to scowl in disgust due to the different, more modern sound. If you give this song a chance though, it proves to be a solid effort.

Ratitude keeps it up throughout the middle of the album, with fine tracks such as "Put Me Back Together" and "Trippin' Down the Freeway". Both of these are excellent songs concerning Cuomo's more grown-up take on relationships in which it seems that only he/Weezer can write. Supported by catchy riffs and drums, these tracks are light-hearted jams that any Weezer fan would take pleasure in listening to. Following is a soft power ballad featuring a sitar and a female Indian vocalist called "Love is the Answer". While it is another song that may make early fans cringe, it has great taste and nice lryics.

If there is any achilles heel of "Ratitude", it has to be the back-end of the album. "Let It All Hang Out" is very enjoyable, but by no means great. "In the Mall" is mediocre to say the least, and "I Don't Want to Let You Go" is nothing special. These tracks are not at all horrible, but I thought that some of the bonus songs were much better and more deserving of being on the album. As a matter of fact, I thought that "In The Mall" and "I Don't Want to Let You Go" sounded more like bonus songs.

As mentioned before, I thought the bonus disc was a great addition to the album. "Get Me Some" is a rare hard-rock track from Weezer with a very shredding guitar performance. "Run Over By a Truck" is certainly relatable to many people at certain times, and "The Prettiest Girl in the Whole Wide World" is a magnificent track. It is my favorite song out of both albums. This song has it all: great guitar sound, nice drums, and outstanding vocals from Cuomo. It is Vintage Weezer at their best. "The Underdogs" is just a nice song, Period. I think that early Weezer fans, such as myself, will particularly enjoy these tracks. I strongly reccomend that you purchase the deluxe edition so you may enjoy this collection of songs.

While similar, I believe that "Ratitude" is a much better and stronger effort than the former works "Make Believe" and the Red Album. Overall, I think this is simply a solid album by a solid band.

As mentioned before, I can't understand why this album is getting a slating. After reading a couple of reviews I was wondering if Weezer were on the downward spiral (ok, some people say they have been for a while).
But, having listened to the album quite a few times now I find it very easy to get into and filled with good tunes.
Nothing too deep in there and I doubt it will last the test of time to the extent of some of their earlier albums, Blue Album being the obvious example.
However, they move into a couple of new directions with rap and a twist of Asian music but they integrate wonderfully into the Weezer style.
Definite buy if you are a Weezer fan and don't expect the world of them, in which case you are most likely to be disappointed by any work they bring out.
If youve not listened to Weezer, where have u been??? But seriously, give it a go, will open you upto one of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion.
