Sculpt- 9.5 out of 10, I have absolutely nothing bad I can say about the level of detail sculpted in the Unicorn. Excellent display piece. Clear plastic in all the Psycho frame bits is a nice touch. One issue I've had is that one of the Gatling guns on his back isn't 100% straight.
Paint Applications- 9.5 out of 10, I passed up a master grade version of Unicorn for this GFFN version (so I wouldn't have to apply decals)and I wasn't disappointed. Legible text only slightly bigger than a pin head are all over this guy. A nice flat white finish is all over this guy, feels a little fragile like it could be scrapped or scratched off but most collectors won't be rough housing with their Unicorns. Only nit pick is that the eyes are a little dull and I would have liked something like a chromed green color to help them stand out.
Pose-ablilty - 7.5 out of 10, GFFN is all about sculpt and detailed paint apps. If you've owned older Gundams in predecessor lines to GFFN like Cosmic region you know that articulation is a little limited compared to toy lines like Robot Damashii and even Mobile Suit in Action. The GFFN Unicorn however blows my Cosmic Region Infinite Justice away. I won't detail all the points of articulation but the Unicorn sports most of the major points modern collectors expect with a few exceptions. Unicorn lacks double jointed knees and can only get 90 degrees of movement. Also he suffers from hindered articulation noticeably in his feet and when he's sporting most of his weapons. You can get basic poses but no crazy action ones.
Durability and Stability - 6 out of 10, The main problem that GFFN and it's sister lines suffer from. The base figure is all right and is sturdy enough to handle whatever pose you put him in. The problems come up when you look at his equipment. Unicorn has two bazookas that can be broken down into two pieces, on my bazookas the connection between the two peaces is very loose. The biggest problems however are the gatling gun shields. You get three all together. Two pre-assembled for his arms and both have a problem with the shield being loose and coming off easily. The Gatling Gun Shield that goes on his back for Full Armor display is the weakest of the three due to the fact that the gatling guns come separated so Unicorn can wield them separately. I had a hell of a time getting them to set in place and stop popping off on their own. With a lot of futzing and messing with him you can get him in Full Armor mode but it may be frustrating. Long term durability may be an issue, on my Justice Gundam his beam rifle suffers from some drooping and I'm hoping that the giant booster sticking off his back don't eventually droop.
