予備を購入しようとしたら、一時品切れでしたが、実はiPhone4Sに対応するためにバージョンアップしていたんですね。しかも対応が早い！素晴らしいです(笑)フィルム１枚でこうも画面の美しさが強調されるのかというほど、光沢性は抜群です。ただし、指の跡はつきますよ。でも、付属の高級なクロスで拭けば問題ありません。以前はストアの方のおすすめに任せていたので、結果としてフィルム選択を誤っていました。また、きれいに貼るためにはお店の「貼り師」さんにお願いするしかないかな、と思っていましたが、付属のシールを使って自分で気泡を除去しながら貼ることができます。…これって、あの「貼り師」さんがセロテープを使って貼っていた手法と同じなんだ…と、感心しました。ただし、気泡を外へ出す時にあまり強くこすると傷がつきますし、かえって小さな気泡が残ってしまいますので、柔らかく拭きながら貼って下さい。指の跡がつくことだけが残念なので★★★★☆です。ごめんなさい。

フィルムなんか評価してもしょうがないと思っていましたが、意外と何を使うかで変わるものです。
使用目的は傷防止です。

・汚れが落としやすい
他のものと比べると優位性は高いです。
使い始めちょっとの間は汚れもつきにくい感じですが、だんだん汚れはつくようになっていきます。
ただ、汚れは落としやすく落とすとかなり綺麗になります。

付属の布を持ち歩くのは面倒だと思いますが、適当なもので拭けば十分綺麗になります。
めがねをかけるひとは付属の布かめがね拭きを両方に使用すれば問題ないでしょう。

なお、iPhone自体にもフッ素コーティング（防汚性目的）がされているので汚れが気になるだけの方はフィルムは不要です。
そのほうが汚れにくく、汚れも落としやすかったりします。
今すぐフィルムをはがしたほうが快適なiPhoneライフが始まることでしょう。

どちらにしても「汚れない」、ということはありませんので注意されるよう・・・

・画面が綺麗
これは個人的には他のフィルムと比べて圧倒的です。

・貼りやすい
フィルムをよく見ると賽の目の線が入っています。たぶんこれが気泡を抜けやすくする工夫と思います。
気泡が少し入ったものの、押してみたらすぐに抜けました。

・穴の位置は・・・ずれています
よく見ると気になる程度です。使用上の問題はまったくありません。

・フィルムにも傷はつくものです
爪がどうしてもあたるため、傷がついていきます。（これはどのフィルムも同じですね。）
値段がちょっと高いですが、あくまでも消耗品として考えるべきです。

だらだら書きましたが、フィルムの性能差はあるもののリピートする価値があるかどうかは難しいと思います。
あなたが買い替えタイミングであれば、今一度何のためにフィルムが必要なのかよく考えてみるのもいいでしょう。

光沢、指紋防止機能など、金額だけのことはある製品です。非常に満足しています。

1点だけあげるとすれば（欠点というよりも注意点として）、柔らかいケースであれば問題はないのですが、比較的ハードなケース（前面と背面からかち合わせてセットするタイプ）で使おうとすると、ケースによってフィルムが縁から圧迫されるせいか、フィルムの縁の部分にはがれかかってしまうような現象が発生。ソフトケースに変えたら問題ありませんでした。

比較的ハードなケースで、前面と背面の両方から押さえるタイプ（例えばこちら SGP アイフォン 4 ケース Ultra Slider 【 SATIN SILVER 】 液晶保護シートセット for Apple iPhone 4 のような）をお持ちの方には注意かもしれません。前面から押さえる部分がないものであれば、ハードでも問題ないでしょう（例えばこちら NUDE for iPhone4 Ultra Clear SW-NUI4-UC のような）。

液晶保護フィルムなんてダイソーの100円ので十分だよね。
そんな風に考えていた時期が私にもありました。

ダイソーで100円の保護フィルムを購入しましたが、十分にiphoneの表面を綺麗にしてから保護フィルムを貼ったのに数え切れない程の気泡が入り、いくらセロテープでゴミを除去しても気泡が取れずゴミ箱へ・・・。100円をドブに捨てました。

その後、評判の良いPRO GUARDを購入しました。しばらくの間、iphoneを裸で使用していたので気泡が入らないか不安でしたが、付属の布で油分を取り除いてから、同じく付属の埃除去シールでペタペタした後に保護フィルムを貼った所、まったく気泡が入らず1発でＯＫ！ゲーム機でもこんなに綺麗に保護フィルムを貼れた事はありません！感動です！

ただ、バックカメラ周辺のフィルムが僅かに浮いてしまいます。最初は埃が付着しているのかと思いましたが、そうではないようです。フィルムの変形かもしれません。
その点だけが少し残念でした。

First off I don't write many reviews anymore but I have to step up and say something about this product...

First I can honestly say I have tried my fair share of screen protectors for my iPhone Amazon.com can attest to that, and this is by far the best crystal clear protector I have found period. Best feature is that it is cut slightly smaller to accommodate just about any case without causing bubbles on the sides.

2 disclaimers - First is Anti Fingerprint coating is AWESOME but DO NOT use anything wet to clean it once it is installed as it will remove the coating, use the cleaning cloth provided only. Second disclaimer is the anti-fingerprint coating DOES NOT repel all fingerprints and signs of touching, but I'd say it does repel them about 85% I am constantly touching my phone as I am sure everyone is, and after heavy use you can barely see grease smudges or fingerprints, whereas others pick them up immediately. It's sort of like the matte screen protectors where you'll see the smudges but they are not as bad. Buying one for my iPad next... Hope this helps!

Cons:
1. Easy dry install, very easy to remove bubbles and dust stickers are provided
2. EXCELLENT cleaning cloth included, use instead of wet cleaners
3. Anti-Fingerprint Coating is great, especially for a crystal clear protector
4. Edges cut slightly smaller to accommodate cases without bubbles on the sides
5. Cut outs for camera and speaker holes are separated

Pros:
1. Anti-fingerprint coating will come off if cleaned with wet cleaners
2. Little Pricey in Comparison to others

I wasn't daunted by the all-Japanese instructions--- what do I need instructions for, having (more or less) successfully applied several screen protectors to various phones? This one is more expensive than the others, and I hesitated before buying it, for that reason and because there's only one (where others are sold in 3-packs). But I'm a veteran user, and the reviews are good, so what the heck?

First impressions were good: the protector itself feels sturdy and looks clear, and it ships with a nice microfiber cloth big enough to swaddle a small infant. I donned vinyl gloves, carefully wiped my phone down in preparation, lined up the protector, and made contact. ZAP. It fell into place and adhered instantly, without a single bubble, as though it had melted onto the glass. Perfect!

Well, almost. Actually a millimeter or two out of place, enough that I was concerned the camera lens might be obscured. No problem, I'd just peel and reapply... or so I thought. I skitched and scratched with my fingernail, first with and then without the glove, trying to peel any of the corners up, but they were stuck fast. I finally did get a corner up, but in the process it curled. When I reapplied the film, the screen was littered with bubbles and the peeled corner refused to lay flat. Chased most of the bubbles away, but an obstinate pocket right in the center of the screen compelled me to lift the film and reapply it a THIRD time, which turned out to be the breaking point.

I stared in frustration at the dog-eared corner and the Swiss-cheeselike array of bubbles, cursing bitterly, and then admitted defeat (by violently ripping the screen protector from my phone and hurling it as far as I could across the room, which wasn't very far).

So, that's that. I can't in good faith give the product a BAD rating, since my own incompetence is primarily to blame. Can't really rave about it either, since I paid $15 for an item that now protects the inside of a garbage bag in my kitchen from scratches and fingerprints. My phone's gone au naturel for a few days without a scratch, so maybe there was a lesson in all of this?

I don't know about you, but I've applied more than a few skins and screen covers in my time. I always end up drenched in flop sweat, suppressing the microtremors in my hands, hunched over my desk, praying that a stray speck of dust doesn't happen by and attach itself to the wrong surface before I can achieve my goal. I sprung for this, the very expensive screen protector, because I had read such negative reviews of the cheap ones, and some of the reviews for this one said it was relatively easy to apply. Well -- no. Really, I should have known that's promising the impossible. I went to the web site to see the English language video; I followed all the instructions; I adjusted my position until I had just the right amount of light at just the right angle, and -- it went on gracefully, perfectly, and at about a .5 degree angle. Dang, dang, dang. My flop sweat was justified once again. Once you have to reposition these things, all bets are off. Yet I had tried my utmost to get it on absolutely straight -- I couldn't have focused any harder.

Well, after many tense efforts, I managed to get a fingernail under one corner. (One big plus: this baby stays put with absolute conviction. I mean, it was a nightmare even finding a fingernail-hold.) I moved it that .5 degrees, and let it bind to the face of the phone again -- voila! PERFECT -- you know, except for the bubbles that could not be eliminated. The ones around the small holes for the earpiece, the user-facing camera, and the home button. Please see my photo in the Customer Photos section above (under the product photo) for a closeup of what I'm talking about.

The good news is that if you do get it on right, it's superb -- absolutely clear and glasslike, and so far (about 3 weeks of not-careful handling later) completely unscratched and impervious to grease, dirt and schmutz. The bad news is that applying it is not easy. I don't think applying this stuff is ever easy. Apple should offer it as a factory option and save its users from trials such as these.

Summary: Very high quality, very durable, not very easy to apply, and not very forgiving once repositioned. I gave it 4 stars, but add another if you're in the bomb squad or a neurosurgeon or otherwise have nerves of steel and a feather-light touch.

I had initially had a Zagg Invisishield on my iPhone, and I was very unhappy with it. It was flimsy, peeled off of the phone, was difficult to install, and was cut just a few millimeters off so it was impossible to align properly. When that shield peeled off in the humidity, I decided to just order a cheap well-reviewed shield on amazon and give up on fancy iPhone shields. When I got this product in, I was pleasantly surprised.

The shield is surprisingly durable. It's not a flimsy piece of vinyl like most shields that you pay $30 for. Instead, it's a relatively thick, hard, clear plastic. Its thickness made it a breeze to apply in less than a minute without any air bubbles, and its static-cling type of application means that if you do misalign it, it's simple to remove, wipe off, and try again. Far easier than the majority of iPhone shields to install. By contrast, the Zagg shield that I had first purchased took me about 15 minutes to try to align, clean, and get rid of all the bubbles, and its warranty replacement was no easier despite my previous experience.

Despite the thickness of this shield, the phone's touchscreen is just as responsive as ever. If anything, it's actually improved because it keeps all of the grime off of the phone, and the material seems to be better at keeping away fingerprints and smudges than the naked iPhone screen does.

Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. I had a shield made out of the same material on my iPod for years, and it never showed a scratch. I'm looking forward to not having to replace my iPhone screen again thanks to finding this one.

This is my first iPhone and therefore the first protector that I have purchased for an iPhone. I purchased it based on the good reviews, particularly those that noted it did not take away from the clarity of the Retina display.

I can attest to the fact that they were right. The display is crystal clear and I cannot detect any difference between my iPhone with the protector on and the clarity of the unprotected retina display.

Also, it was very easy to put on after watching the video online. I DID have to reapply it once as it was just slightly off on my initial attempt. As another reviewer mentioned, it is nearly impossible to pull up using a fingernail without the risk of damaging it. What worked for me was to use a very sharp knife and be VERY careful. Once I got under it, the film came right up with no damage whatsoever and I adjusted and reapplied. Just be sure to check for any dust that has gotten under and use the provided sticker on the glass again to make sure that it is pristine.

I have no bubbles.

With regard to the feel of the protector, it is definitely not as smooth as the glass by itself. It was a bit distracting at first, but after getting used to it, I hardly even notice. I don't think that there is a protector out there that could give you all the benefits of this protector while retaining the smoothness of glass so I can't really hold it against the protector.

As for fingerprints, it definitely makes a difference in my few days of use. It is not fingerprint-free by any means, but does not look nearly as streaky as the unprotected glass after a days use.

I give this protector my highest recommendation!
