Its such a pleasure to hear this no gimmicks lovely music. Its good on first listen and gets better with repeats. Marry's vocals are (as expected) clear and expressive and there are additional vocal contributions from other folk luminaries (Kathryn Williams, Eliza Carthy, James Yorkston). Instrumentation (Oliver on guitar supported, again, by some well-known folkies) is tasteful, well arranged & beautifully recorded. The songs are cliche free and have a good range of moods/subjects/tempos - so there's no fatigue for the listener. The pack even has lyrics and performer details in highly legible black on white - always a bonus.
