Singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer Butch Walker started out as a member of acclaimed band Marvelous 3 and has since embarked on a solo career, with equal successes as both artist and producer. In 2010, he released his latest record, I LIKED IT BETTER WHEN YOU HAD NO HEART, under the name Butch Walker & the Black Widows. ブッチ・ウォーカーのCD全部買ってきたが

このCD今までで一番良いかも

全曲良いけど特に「Bullet Belt」が良い

これからもこんなCD出して。

ブッチはコンスタントにアルバムを発表してくれるので、ファンとしてはうれしい限りです

今回のアルバムも相変わらず素晴らしいです

アナログ盤も購入したのですが、１番最初に聴いたのがアナログ盤で、改めてアナログの楽しさを再認識しました

ジャケットが大きいだけで満足度が高いです　ＣＤがしょぼく見えてしまいます

しかしなぜアメリカ人はＣＤを紙のケースに直接入れるのか理解ができません

アルバムの内容はほんとに素晴らしく、曲数が１０曲なのであっという間です

欲を言えばあと１、２曲欲しいところですが、アナログも意識にあったのかな

一番のお気に入りは６曲目です　少しカモン・アイリーンを思い起こさせるようなアレンジですが、歌詞の内容からするとわざと狙ってるのかなと思います

Love this album, own it on vinyl already but needed a gift for Dad. Sent him the cd and both parents dig it! Win! Butch Walker is badass. Definitely a needed album.

Many point to Letters as being the best album Butch Walker has ever put out. Maybe I could agree with that if it was based on emotion and song writing. If you ask me though this is it! A pure party of an album. Butch and all of the Black Widows are on fire from start to finish on this album.

The album feels like it was recorded at your local greasy, dirty, dingy bar. Just as you need a shower after leaving that bar you should probably take one after listening to this. That is in no way a bad thing it just means that you probably just had the best time you have had in a long time!

The album takes off perfectly with Bodegas and Blood, followed up with a great scream at the top of your lungs EverySingleBodyElse, and reaches new heights with Summer of '89. Just as you think that you have nothing left in you at the very end of the album you literally get punched right in the face with the perfect party song Sucker Punched.

This term gets thrown around a lot but it is totally true for this album, it is indeed all killer and no filler.

If you want to have a blast driving, hanging with friends, or even cleaning your house, you cannot go wrong with this album. No matter what you are doing this album will help make it the best time you've ever had.

So buy the album, put it on as soon as it arrives, and then go take a shower...you're gonna need it.

I can't stop listening to this album. It will remind you what is fun and great about rock and roll. Sounds great turned-up-with-your-windows-down. A little touch of country, and heartfelt and clever lyrics make this one of my favorite album purchases in recent memory. After seeing Butch Walker on Live at Daryl's House, I was curious enough to seek out his music on Amazon. I am extremely happy that I did! While it all sounds fresh and unique, it could easily have been plucked from the airwaves of the years between 1973 and 1989. The country soulfulness of "Closest Thing To You I'm Gonna Find", and the almost John Lennon-esque soul of "Sweethearts" show two distinctly different approaches and yet neither sounds out of place on the album. "Dublin Crow" is a refreshing and fun song that will catch you by surprise mid-album, and finishing the album out with the rollicking boogie of "Suckerpunch" will instantly remind you of the Georgia Satellites, is made more fun by the 'live' feel of the recording. "Bullet Belt" seems to revel in the mistakes of your parents with an almost relentlessly Ramones attack, only... warmer and more inviting. "Bodegas and Blood" is a great opening track that will ready you for what follows. You should buy this album right now!
