This is such a nice package that has been released as a souvenir of the most recent OMD tour of Europe. Beautifully presented in a hardback book about the height of two cd cases it contains some quotes from the members of the band, great photos of them in action and some song lyrics. The cd is housed in a cardboard slot page at the back of the book which usually presents problems of scratching the disc but this one seems to be ok. The track-listing is reflective of where OMD find themselves at the end of 2011. A new album recently released, renewed confidence and willingness to perform again and clearly you can hear it if this recording is anything to go by. As Paul Humphreys mentions in the notes, they were never known to be a good live band and make no claims to be excellent musicians. What a difference a decade or two of technology can make. All the new tracks from " History Of Modern " fit snugly alongside chestnuts like "Messages", "Souvenir" and "Forever Live & Die" as though they were always part of the bands catalogue. There is a good mix of the old and the new. I'm quite impressed with the performance captured here and if one of the two set lists reproduced inside the booklet is any indication we get almost the entire show. The package itself and presentation is also very nice. If you're an OMD fan you can't pass this up. Highly recommended.
