「iSkin solo vu for iPhone 4/4S」は、カナダ・トロントに本社を置くiSkin社のiPhone 4/4S用「抗菌仕様」ハイブリッドケース。ハードケース素材(PC)とソフトケース素材(TPU)を一体成型。iSkinオリジナルパターンとシックなカラーラインアップは、ケースを装着することでiPhoneのエレガントさと洗練された印象をより引き立たせます。
素材は、世界的に定評のある米国Microban【マイクロバン】社の抗菌加工を施し、背面はクリアなハード部分と、iPhoneの側面から背面の一部に掛けては、落ち着いた色のソフト部分のハイブリッド構造で、小柄の独特なパターンを配し、胸ポケットやバッグなどからの取り出しやすさも考慮、また、ごく僅かながら膨らみを帯びた背面形状が手のひらにしっくりとフィットします。
細部へのこだわりは、カメラとフラッシュライトの周囲の樹脂製パーツとドックコネクタ周囲の独立した開口部にも表れ、黒い淵の樹脂性成型部は、フラッシュ時の反射を防止し、独立した開口部は、ドックコネクタ用カバー(ポートプロテクト)付き。本体のほかに、静電気防止スクリーンクリーナー、オリジナルクロス、オリジナルロゴステッカー付属。

This is an amazing looking case, but it has its flaws in form and quality. I think this is a case that has many features people would like, but if you're the type of person that uses the phone while its laying flat on a table AND/OR a person that changes cases often, you will NOT like the iSkinz Solo Vu.

PROS:

- Classy, glossy look that makes the case look it's actually part of the iPhone
- Covers the 30-pin connection port to prevent dust/debris build-up
- Good lip protection to protect against drops
- No camera flashback
- All the buttons/ports line up perfectly
- Does not add a significant amount of bulk to the phone
- Adequate grip

CONS:
- The back is sliiightly curved, so the phone spins a little if you tap on any part of the phone when laid on a flat surface
- The plastic edge began to detach from the semi-transparent back
- Obscures the power button, and makes it a little stiff to press

As for the PROS, the iSkinz Solo Vu is pretty much all I could ask for from a case. Provides grip, good lip protection, minimal bulk, and doesn't create camera flashback ALL while looking good. The top lip actually didn't sit flush for awhile, but eventually it settled in. The port protector was a nice plus.

However, I could NOT get over the CONS, which led to me replacing the case. For starters, I really did not like the curved back. If my phone was laying on the table and I want to just tap on the phone to text, turn pages, play a game, etc., the phone would turn a lot. If your power cable pulls at the phone by an angle while it's plugged in, the phone will definitely turn. It's annoying and the curvature provides NO aesthetic value. You won't even know the case was curved just by looking at it. Also, after about 3 weeks of use, the TPU casing began to detach from the semi-transparent back. Over time, it spread and I'm afraid it will eventually become useless. If you're the type of person that changes cases often (different looks, uses a battery case every once in awhile), you're going to ruin the case by taking it on and off.

To review, it's the iSkinz Solo Vu is a really nice case. If you're the "one case" kinda guy/gal then you'll like it if you can get over the curved back. If you're polygamous case user, then you're gonna ruin the plastic edges of the case by taking it off and putting it back on. Until they fix those things, I could only recommend the case if you can find it cheap.
