Vo.が交代しましたが，全く違和感なく溶け込んでいます。

DRAGONFORCEらしさ全開の，スピーディかつメロディアスな曲が満載。うがった見方をすれば「どのアルバムも同じような曲ばかり」と言えなくもないですが，聴きこめば聴きこむほどそれぞれの曲が持つ「表情」が微妙に異なることに気づきます。

その「速さ」が注目されがちなバンドですが，曲のクオリティにも要注目だと思います。

まさにどこを切ってもDF金太郎飴状態。前作の完成度も素晴らしかったが、若手のボーカルを入れたことで生き生きとした疾走感が前面に出てて良い。ラウパー１２でのステージも良かった。イケメン（ハーマン・リ）も健在だ（笑）

マー君が入って最初のアルバムですが・・・

まずボーカルですがCDで聞く分には特に悪いとは思いません。

問題は曲。はっきり言ってキラーチューンがない。
全体を聞けば無難にまとまっていると思うけど繰り返し聞きたい曲がない。
曲がコンパクトになったせいで逆にドラフォらしさが薄れてしまった。
今までのアルバムで一番大人しく一番退屈なアルバム。

ドラゴンフォースは、有り得ないスピード、長すぎるギターソロ、クサいメロディーが有ってこそのバンドだと思う。
無理に大人しくして他のバンドと同じようになる必要もないと思います。

次回作は原点に戻って欲しいです。

ドラゴンフォースといえば長いギターソロに機械的な演奏、電子音のようなキーボードが色々と批判の対象になってきましたが、今回そういった点が改善されています。曲やギターソロはコンパクトになり、キーボードはここぞという時のみ鳴らされています。今まで無機質で都会的な印象だったこのバンドの曲が今回凄く活き活きしてるんです。#1、#2、#4、#7といったガッツポーズもののメロスピもさることながら、ケルティックなムードが漂う#3や#8が特に素晴らしい。SONATA ARCTICAやREINXEEDのような北欧的なフィーリングも各曲で感じることが出来ます。そして新Vo、マーク・ハドソンもしっかりと楽曲に溶け込んでいて、Voが交代したという違和感がありません。本作がドラフォのアルバムで個人的に一番好きかもしれません。今までの彼らの熱烈なファンからすれば一番“らしくない”作品なのだとは思いますが…。
あとはライヴを観て判断するだけでしょう。メロスパー的には十分今年のベスト10に入るアルバムかと。

Let me start off by stating that I am a huge fan of ZP Theart, so the idea of a DragonForce album without him seemed unlikely to impress at best. It did take me a couple of listen throughs to decide that yes, this band will survive the loss of their dynamic frontman.

And it IS a loss, both for his unique voice and writing skills, yet this album still has it all. Memorable songs, amazing vocal harmonies, tight musicianship, epic guitars and keys, a strong backbeat, and a lead vocal that absolutely soars above it all and occasionally leaves you breathless. Marc Hudson is a good fit for this group, he is an incredibly talented and stunning vocalist.

I am thoroughly delighted with this album, and I cannot wait to see what comes next from DragonForce!

Ce nouvel album est une tuerie comme les précédents, du pur son ! Moins "jeuxvideos", mais toujours aussi jouissif ! Les goddies qui sont dedans sont d'asssez bonne facture, les dessous de verre sont super sympa, le drapeau encore plus, par contre le décapsuleur est de piètre qualité, si on force trop, le plastique grince et il vaut mieux s'en servir comme mini lampe de poche.

I'm a big fan and followed them for many years. First off, you can tell that they are changing the way they structure their songs by the fact only one song is 7 minutes long. You can also tell the structure has changed by listening to said 7 minute song as it isn't like their past long songs, its more broken down and works really well. The New singer is amazing and can hit the high notes well! Granted at one point the high note came out of no where but was still impressive none the less! His voice carries all the songs well and will be looking forward to new songs over the years from him!

The old 'all Dragonforce songs sound the same' philosophy to me only half exists in this album. While they retain what made them great to listen too, its easy to see they are trying new things. 'Cry Thunder' is the best example of this! The melody to me seems to have a slight Irish kick to it and simply sounds brilliant (music video of said song here(...) )

I have a feeling that a reason some of their songs in this particular album sound similar to previous years is simply to reassure fans that the new singer hasn't tampered with what made them famous. Personal opinion, but I seem to prefer Marc over ZP, despite still liking ZP.

One last note, the acoustic version at the end actually shocked me as I have never heard them play anything like that before, it was a brilliant shortened version of the song Seasons (shortened due to the fact breaking into solo in acoustic probably doesn't sound the same!).

Das neue Album von DragonForce ''THE POWER WITHIN'' besticht durch seine Abwechslung und natürlich dem großartigen Gitarrensound von Herman Li und Sam Totman, durch kräftiges Bass-spiel von Frédéric Leclercq, deftige Drums von Dave Mackintosh, virtuoses Keyboardspiel von Vadim Pruzhanov und vom neuen Sänger Marc Hudson, der meiner Meinung noch besser singt als ZP.
Wie schon gesagt, bietet ''THE POWER WITHIN'' viel Abwechslung. Das Lied ''Seasons'' z.B. wirkt insgesamt sehr episch und die Übergänge sind absolout perfekt. Auch wird diesmal mehr E-Bass eingesetzt. Selbst die größten Kritiker werden hier keine Kritik finden können, da alle Lieder sehr viel Abwechslung bieten - Ja Die Abwechslung hab ich schon öfter genannt, aber man kann es nicht oft genug betonen. Eine ''Ballade'' fehlt natürlich auch diesmal nicht, was der Anfang und das Ende von ''Wings oft Liberty'' beweist. Genauso gibt es diesesmal sogar eine Acoustik Version von ''Seasons'' die von so vielen als NOCH bessere Version bezeichnet wird.

Wer meint DragonForce entwickle sich nicht weiter - oder sogar meint, dass sie schlechter werden - dem kann ich überhaupt nicht zustimmen, denn das was sie mit ''THE POWER WITHIN'' geleistet haben ist einfach nur unglaublich!Im übrigen beeinhaltet der Gitarrensound viele Classic Rock-Elemente, was vorher nicht der Fall ist, und super eingefügt wurde. Meiner Meinung nach, sollte jeder DragonForce-Fan die limitierte Fanbox kaufen, die bietet einem:

-Bierdeckel mit Comic-Zeichnungen von Frederic Leclercq
-Einen Access Code für Bonus Material wie einen weiteren Song
-DragonForce-The-Power-within-Flagge
-Flaschenöffner mit Lampe und Album-Logo
-Und natürlich die CD selbst

Die Box In der sich die Gegenstände befinden, besteht aus stabilem und ''hochwertigem'' Aluminium.

BTW: Ich höre das Album den ganzen Tag lang und es wird nicht langweilig! :D
