なんだろう　映画としたらB級以下これをみてるとどーにもこーにも
片腕カンフーシリーズが脳裏に蘇る
カンフー大好きで大好きでしょうがない　でも自分はうごけないから正統派は無理っ！だから
色々詰め込んでみたってのがすごく感じる

内容がが完全にショーブラ＆GH70ー90年台のワイヤー＆伝奇＆武侠カンフー映画　
そりゃぁタランティーノ絶賛するわ
物語はクソみたいだッ　ろくにカンフーもない
ワンダーガールズ東方三峡とか黒豹天下とかスウォーズマンあたりのノリと同じ

でもね　古き良き香港映画だ
最近本家本元がお上品になってしまっているので、
非常にすばらしい

一言でいえば、B級感漂うのにキャストは豪華という、ラッパーが作ったタランティーノを意識した武侠映画、とでも言いましょうか。ワイヤーアクションあり、本格的な功夫シーンあり、それでいて曲はラップという外しが利いた面白い作品です。

　 おそらくＲＺＡがずっと頭の中で想像していた物語を映像化したのだろう。どこかで見たような、そして自分だったらこんなこともさせてみたい！というキャラクターやアクション・シーンが次から次へと出てくる。タランティーノの名が presented by と出ている効果なのか、ラッセル・クロウやルーシー・リューというメジャーな顔ぶれに加え、「エンド・オブ・ホワイトハウス」で敵役として印象を残したリック・ユーンも出ていて意外に豪華キャスト。どちらかというと「おバカ映画」の部類に入りそうだが、なかなか楽しめる。しかし、ストーリーからは香港映画に見られる「情念」のようなものがいまひとつ伝わってこない。父親の仇を討つとか、恋人のためとか、主人公たちを突き動かす激しい動機のようなものが欲しかった。また、アクションに関してはプロレスラーのバウティスタなどが出ているものの、中途半端さは否めない。一つ一つの動きがスローモーで、キレがなく、それらしい雰囲気だけで終わってしまった。タランティーノのツテでユエン・ウーピンでも招くことができればよかったのに。
　わざわざ金を出してまで、しかもＢＤでコレクションすべき作品かどうかは微妙。しかし、本場香港のカンフー映画や武侠映画ファンとしては、王道から派生した珍品として抑えておく必要はある。何よりスタッフやキャスト自身が楽しんで作っていることが伝わってくる作品だ。

こういう倫理規範などという滑稽な縛りに囚われない映画監督の作品は見てて楽しい。
タラの映画は感じる作品です。無粋な批評はしないことです。

Parce que l'une des modes est le DTV, le grand Tarantino s'y est essayé. Avec un film juteux, violent, sanglant, et au visuel excellent. La chine féodale, un trésor, des clans, mais Tarantino aux commandes ! Une histoire d'amour, un forgeron doué, au delà de sont art, et des personnages haut en couleurs.
Le film est très violent, emprunte beaucoup aux autre films du genre, avec les quelques scènes de voltige farfelues qui sont un passage obligées pour qui veut faire un film de Kung-Fu, et est le théâtre de morts tour à tour sublime et brutale. L'histoire est contée par le forgeron, et nous divertie bien correctement, mélangeant quelques intrigues autour de ce fameux trésor. Que vous aimiez Tarantino, les films de Kung-Fu, soyez amateur des acteurs ou cherchiez un film à la bande-originale très bonne, ce film est pour vous.

I've never written a review, but it's high time for me to come out from the anonymous shadows of the internet and put my money where my mouth is. First and foremost, as if the star rating didn't give it away, I found this movie very enjoyable. However, I'm writing this review today not as praise for all its rights, but as a defense for all its wrongs. Many of the reviews I've read find the movie bland, flat, and without flare. However, given the genre it's heavily persuaded by, the American 70's kung-fu theater, this is an out and out homage to that time period and culture. The dialogue has been cited as "terrible", but honestly, who watched kung-fu movies for the dialogue? Yes, it sets the story and yes, it advances the plot, but generally most people are there to watch people beat the snot out of each other. Personally, I found the writing fine, but that's not what this review is about.

Another personal favorite of the less than positive reviews is pointing out the unimaginative scenery and characters. Jungle Village. Brass Body. However, again, this is a tribute to the kung-fu theater of yesteryear. Most of the poorly dubbed movies of that era suffered from extremely simple translations and thus had direct, to the point naming conventions. This is also why, as stated in the previous paragraph, the dialogue comes off as flat, or even overly acted with no substance. Again, a call back to the cinematic era it's referencing. To be honest, though, most Asian languages are very direct in their naming. For instance, Japan in Japanese is "Nihon", with "Ni" meaning sun and "hon" meaning source, so Japan, land of the rising sun. Get it?

Now, I've only seen a few references to this next particular issue, but I feel it must be addressed, and that is the soundtrack. Some have said the hip hop seems out of place and my only retort would be, "Have any of you seen Samurai Champloo?" That is a quintessential example of the perfect harmony between hip hop and the ancient Asian culture and I believe it works here as well.

I could go on and on, but I'm sure many of you have stopped reading or simply made up your own mind long ago and I wouldn't be able to sway you otherwise. However, for those that have trudged along this far, I implore you to watch this film with an open mind and a laid back attitude, appreciating for what it is: a homage to a simpler time in theater. This isn't a 13 Assassins or a Hero or a Zatoichi, this is a man professing his love to a cinema that he is so fond of. I tip my hat to thee, RZA.

also ich bin absoluter filmfreak und kann diesen martial arts strefen mehr als nur empfehlen.
tarantino war produzent und tatsächlich auch am set als hilfe vertreten-
falls man kein asia und martial arts filme nichts abgewinnen kann sollte man die finger davon lassen, denn dieser strefen ist eine mixtur aus alten kung-fu filmen mit moderenen kultigen waffen,absichtlich total unrealistisch und überdreht dargestellt
die kameraführung ist perfekt und beinhaltet ein wunderschönes farbenspiel mit tollen ein und überblendungen.
die story ist absichtlich 08/15 gehalten-eine simple rachestory eben ,die den bezug zu alten kung fu filmen zu 100% wiederspiegelt.
die schauspielerischen fähigkeiten sind hervorragend und keineswegs schlecht.
obwohl ich kein hip hop fan bin muss ich sagen der soundtrack + score sind weltklasse.
RZA und tarantino ist ein film gelungen den sich jeder martial arts fan wünscht.
abgedrehte waffen,viel blut ,tolle schauspieler,verspielte kameraeinstellungen,weltklasse musikund ein tolles setting.
habe tausende von filmen gesehen und dieser ist mit true romance ,from dusk till dawn,starship troopers und strange days einer meiner lieblinge.
Wenn man blockbusterfan ist und nur wegwerfware in qualität einer Imbisskette anschauen möchte ist man hier fehl am platz..alle anderen sind herzlich eingeladen diesen film zu kaufen ,denn er lohn sich!!!
wer kunst mag und das ist film nun mal kauft diesen ohne wenn und aber!!!!
