殿下のそのキャリアにしては少ないベスト・アルバム「The Hits/The B-Sides」「The Very Best of Prince」「Ultimate Prince」にいずれも"D.M.S.R."

Purple Rain

5 STAR DISC, INCREDIBLE RELEASE, JUST WISH SELLERS WOULD LIST IN THE RIGHT SPOT!!!

I know that you are suppose to review the item, not the seller or shipping. I also know that I will get people telling me that I should review the album, or in this case, Cd. I agree with that 100%. I'm just tired of ordering releases that are listed under the WRONG release. It seems Amazon obviously dosent moderate this area of it's site as well as they do others, like books, brand name clothing, and other items. I guess that they don't care if the CDs or LPs are just randomly graded by sellers without any knowledge of grading, or those who just list their title anywhere as long as they've got the Artist and Title right. I see titles I'm looking for listed incorrectly every time I check Amazon to see if they have the item I'm interested in purchasing. It gets very annoying and it is a pain to have to return items and also having to pay return shipping for them as well in some cases.
This is an incredible release and one of the best and one of the most popular Prince albums of all time. I love my vinyl copy, but it is also a great sounding CD, especially if you get the Japanese SHM LP CD Replica, as I originally thought I was ordering. Unless you either have a CD player with a DAC or a seperate DAC, you most likely aren't going to notice the difference in sound. This is partially why I search out the Japanese pressings of both vinyl and CDs. I have a seperate set up in my "music room" that has all my vinyl releases, my High resolution server files, and my cherished promo box sets from Disk Union. I also have many Japanese MLPS as well as jewel case Japanese imports. I pay more for these as they are usually 24 bit / 96kHz or 24 bit / 172kHz releases. I like to just kick back and listen to a higher resolution disc through my Byredynamic T1 headphones. I'm using a Marantz HD- DAC1High Definition USB DAC / Headphone Amp that is a networked player for my stored High Resolution files on our home server. If I just want to play my vinyl or a High Resolution CD, I use my Cambridge - Azur 851E Preamp with two vintage reconditioned Adcom 555SE amps to power four speakers, two left channel and two right channel. It's not a quadrophonic setup, but it sound great sitting in the middle of the room listening to my vinyl and CDs through four Focal Chorus 836v speakers. I also have a Rega 8 Skeletal turntable with a Vincent tube turntable preamp with seperate power supply. I am playing my CDs through a Cambridge - Azur 651C and I rounded out the set up by using a front and rear set of NHT B-12d 500-Watt Powered Subwoofers.
I bought what was suppose to be a SHM Japanese Cardboard Mini LP CD. These are very highly collectable and sought after for their superior sound and the resolution is higher than a standard CD. What I received was a repackaged American disc listed under the drop down as "Import - 2009". I looked and made sure that the description said it was a SHM Japanese Cardboard Mini CD".
It was described as the following:
Japanese SHM paper sleeve pressing. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing* SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc* allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players. 2009.

This is the third disc I have had to return, at my cost , two of which were Amazon fulfilled orders. I would buy so many more of these imports and Vinyl Lps if Amazon took a little more time to moderate the used CD and Vinyl selection. There asking prices for new disc is way too much as I have connections in Tokyo that can get me most of the items I want. Two college friends that live their for work. There are a few sellers I do buy from here on Amazon and have had no problems with. Amazon sure as hell is on top of things as far as book listings go, especially first editions, or antique book listings. I know it's close to impossible to check every single listing to make sure it's listed appropriately. But I should not be getting Amazon fulfilled disc that are not listed in the correct category. That's just poor management on someone's job to make sure that these disc are listed in the appropriate drop down for the artist.
The thing that gets me is I have two Brand New Polo Ralph Lauren iPad leather covers that I can't sell here because I need to upgrade to a pro seller in order to insure I'm not selling a fake. I bought these in the box, brand new, from a high end store. They are complete with tags and boxes. If you look through the used CD and Vinyl selections for the different releases of an artist, it's amazing how many are in the wrong place. As a seller, it's irresponsible to just stick a item anywhere because you either don't know how to create a new item listing or you are too lazy to do so. If you have a release that isn't listed, you're suppose to add the release, not stick it under any of the several options, but say " it's not an import, but it's Mint" or it's not colored vinyl, but it's still sealed.
Most people and buyers don't realize that there are sometimes over a hundred different releases of the same album or CD for the more popular artists and titles. From first release, to colored, to audiophile, and foreign releases of both Vinyl and CDs. You shouldn't sell a standard jewel case $5.00 CD as a $50.00 Japanese import. It's not professional. Amazon is so picky about listing books correctly, why not music. By the way, I got this for half the price from a reputable source. It is without a doubt a 5 STAR release. I'm just hoping Amazon will start looking into this problem as I'm not the only one I know that has had too many improperly graded Vinyl albums or received the wrong CD.
