3000円そこそこで買えるのがありがたいです。格安のリージョンフリープレーヤーですが視聴も普通にできで字幕も問題なく消せました。お買い得でした。

中古の国内BD-BOX買った方が良いと思う

仏版リージョンBのBDを買いました。
字幕が出ます、北米版でよくある日本語にしたらセリフの字幕が
強制的に出るあれではなく、言語関係なくセリフではない字幕が出ます。

セリフ等の字幕は、映像とは別に格納されており再生時に合成する。
みたいな感じなのですが、この字幕は映像に焼き付けてあります。
まぁ、この作品セリフがなくて文字だけの場面が多いので、
まぁ致し方ないかなという気もします。

でも私が購入時した時の価格が\3300、購入後に国内版BD-BOXの中古価格を確認したら\5000弱。
なら国内版買っといた方が幸せだと思います、正直ちょっと後悔。
PCで再生させセリフの強制字幕は解除し、同一場面での仏版と国内版のスクショを添付、
仏版は黒枠に字幕が出てます。

フランス製で日本語音声の切り替え、字幕のオン・オフが可能です。
映像はOP,EDも含めて日本のオリジナルです。
パッケージもハードケースで中箱も化粧箱で忍の版権絵が描かれていたりと
　豪華な仕様です。
特に問題はないのですが、北米製バンブーブレイドや英国製ブラック・ラグーンDVDは
　P社DIGAで再生できたので、これも再生出来るとベストだった。
PALなのでPCでしか再生できないのは当たり前で分かっているのですが、ついつい欲が出てしまう。
一般的な国内BDプレーヤーも最近はPALを変換できるので再生可能です。
同じフランスでもBEEZ社パッケージならコメンタリーなどの映像、音声特典も付随しているが
　この会社の作品は映像だけなのが残念。
パッケージはこの会社の製品のほうが優れている。

内容はシャフトらしい実写のコラージュを利用したりと独特の尖った描写も
　数多く含まれる作品です。
詳細を詳しく語る必要のない名作だと思います。

このレビュウがどう言う括りかわからないけど、手元の届いたのは北米版ではなかった
（リージョンＡという言い方でいいのかな）
世間一般で言われる北米版は再生できるデッキで出来なかった

値段的には、国産の中古品より安い新品なので、重宝しています。
PAL対応機器で見ていますが、若干再生が乱れる場面があるのが残念ポイント。
コレクションが大変（多くて）な物語シリーズなので、トータル的には星５です。

正直最初はキャラの非常に過激な行動とあまりにも濃いオタク会話とオタク的なお色気シーンに引いた。
しかし我慢して見ているとだんだん慣れてきて引き込まれてて非常にはまった。
このオタク的な会話のやり取りとお色気シーンが楽しめる人には非常に面白いと思う。
ストーリー的には基本的には王道的で薄め。

le récit explore habilement le monde des ados, et aborde à travers leur regard leur transformation psychologique progressive: du big bang de la poussée hormonale initial, où les regards lubriques se cachent de si delà derrière un certain conformisme de la vie scolaire: au début tout est question de pouvoirs supposés surnaturels, de maladies mystérieuses touchant la première de la classe, de sarawi neko, chat démon qui va harceler le passant attardé...et puis petit à petit la logique prend le pas sur le surnaturel, le passage initiatique vers le monde des adultes évanouit les illusions, les comportements se rationalisent...alors tout cela peut vous sembler bien descriptif, et bien c'est dans la pratique tout le contraire. L'histoire est batie en épisodes, comme autant de nouvelles qui campent chaque fois un peu plus la situation.
les plus: dessins de qualité, fouillés et aux apparences régulières//des problèmatiques bien exposées
les moins: un générique systématiquement relancé à chaque miniépisode, des premiers épisodes illustrant le bourgeonnement hormonal presque dérangeant car concernant une population d'ados cotoyant encore les enfants. au début je me suis même demandé si la série n'était pas un peu classée hentai soft ou quelque chose d'approchant. en fait passé les 4 premiers épisodes la situation se normalise pour passer plus de temps sur les personalités de chaqu'un et les choix qui s'offrent à eux//beaucoup de jeux de mots et de textes en kanji joueurs qui créent une frustation pour le non nippophone. bien que traduits.

I'll start with a disclaimer: This is a series I would recommend to anyone who is used to anime, especially if they are used to watching anime subs. I wouldn't recommend it to those who are new to anime and especially those who aren't used to subs because it's heavy on dialogue and printed words making it quite dense and can be daunting, even intimidating to newcomers.

Now that's out of the way, let's talk Monogatari.

Visually this is Shaft on overdrive, if you are used to their work then you've seen hints of this kind of style before on a smaller scale with Ef, and Maria+Holic as notable examples, most people would also be familiar with their later works Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the movie Rebellion.
If you've not seen any of these, or Revolutionary Girl Utena, Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, (and a host of other art house style anime) then the art style could be jarring.

As an anime it likes to play with it's tropes and themes, it's a harem anime but it's not your standard harem anime (he saves the female characters, they fall for him, they express their desire for him, and oh he would like to partake in that if it wasn't for the fact that he said yes to the first girl and she will definitely kill him)

It has fanservice and implied fanservice, and while our main character enjoys such things, we're also reminded that he's perverted for doing so, and so by extension we're perverted, he'll feel guilty for certain instances of actions, and sometimes we just get some wonderfully unconventional moments such as series 2 with the brushing of teeth, which has become infamous.

It's also a supernatural monster anime, and while we have one conventional monster type introduced (a vampire) the rest aren't your common monster types. And as I said it plays around with themes, so are they all monsters? Are monsters just monsters based on how we perceive them?

The biggest theme is family and relationships, this may not seem obvious at first, but it's there, it's always in the background for everyone, for all the characters the driving forces is either family or their relationships with others, as a disclaimer I've not watched all the series, so I don't know if that holds up and is true all the way through, but it's clearly on show in this series, which is the one I'm talking about.

Now some people have complained that it's too episodic, so I'll address that, while it's true that each arc focuses mostly on one character and helping said character, this is not a bad thing, nor is it too unusual in anime as many have different arcs that flow through a series, what this does and is important in well crafted episodic / arc anime is that it keeps an overall story flowing in the background, and that is the story between Araragi and Senjougahara, also characters aren't just forgotten about after their arcs, which can happen too often in other anime, but is something that doesn't happen here, so I don't think this complaint is justified especially when there are worse offenders out there.

This series is fun, it's witty, it's sometimes crude, it's smart, it tries to be something different and with the combination of its visuals which are a definite evolution of the Shaft style, and the quirky story and subjects (and cliched characters that are aware that fact) and it succeeds in being different to most anime by being a series that stands out above the crowd. love it or hate it (even if you just don't think that much of it in the end) this is a series not easily forgotten.

Oh, and special mention for it's closing song Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari, because I love Supercell and their 2nd album which this song also features on.
