I've been looking for the kitchen sink examples for react.....this is it! When you don't know all the in/out of react and just need to see examples, I would highly recommend this book.

Great book to learn React and its stack

If you already know JavaScript and want a to learn React very fast, this is your book. It covers a lot of topics not only about React, but all the other technologies that you need to get it working, even in a production environment. The selected technologies stack is, IMHO, one of the best you going to find out there nowadays.
This books does not go deep in every subject it touches, because they are a lot of them. Therefore, I think, it would be hard to follow for a newbie.
The only big drawback that I have found is that it contains a lot of errors in the code, but they are easy to resolve if you have some idea about the web technologies involved. Why am I giving so 5 stars? Because this is the only book that cover all the subject that it covers and it is not easy to keep every chapter and code updated.

This book is worth the $3 I paid for it. It's a lot of "OK now go put this code in this file" without any in-depth explanation of why we are taking these actions. At the end of each chapter you will be able to step back and look over what you've done (provided your app is in a functioning state) and glean some bit of knowledge from your progress, so it is not a lost cause, just very confusing along the way. It would have been nice if the github repository had tags or branches for each chapter so I can find where I went wrong (because it is inevitable). There are typos and unclear direction in this book, at one point the author references jsx files that do not exist in the app (Assuming something was missed during a revision). If you check out the repository today and simply try to npm install the build will fail.
There IS good information in this book, I did learn lots of stuff about the react/webpack ecosystem, the process was more frustrating than I would have liked.
