ファンへの真の贈り物は、ボーナス・ディスク（MTVのUnpluggedライブ盤）にあった。

待ちに待った、と言うべきか。あの名盤『Ingenue』の25周年記念リマスター盤。
当然、音質は最新技術で磨き抜かれているが、不思議なことに、最初に聞いたときの印象を
超えなかった。はっきり言うと、物足りない。
ボーナス・トラックとして名曲・名唱「Barefoot」を入れて欲しかったと、切に願った。

しかし、ファンへの真の贈り物は、ボーナス・ディスクにあった。
MTVのUnpluggedライブ盤が素晴らしい。『Ingenue』のリリースに合わせて、
NYのエド・サリヴァン劇場で行われたライブは、曲順も、アレンジも、ほぼ同じ。
それだけにライブ演奏の良さがグイグイ伝わってくる。
ライブの演奏と歌で、曲が新しく蘇っている。原曲を崩したりしていないところが嬉しい。
もともとアコースティックなアルバムだっただけに、この企画にぴったり。
その場の空気感も伝える、リマスタリングと録音に、陶然となる。

Top Album. Tolles Doppel Album mit Musik vom Feinsten. Über einer guten Hifi Anlage klingt dieses Album einfach spitze und die Unplugged Version ist ein vollkommener Bonus. TOP!!!

Es el álbum más exitoso de k.d. lang por el arrastre de su principal single 'Constant craving' pero es mucho más que eso. Es un disco con elementos de jazz, soul y pop con una voz sugerente y auténtica, de las mejores cantantes de su tiempo sin dudas. Además incluye la grabación de su sesión Unplugged para MTV demostrando sus capacidades en vivo. Notable registro.

This 25th anniversary 2 LP reissue of Ingenue is remastered well and the pressing is quiet. It is not a 180 g pressing. The MTV unplugged recording is also recorded well but like most live recordings there is a narrow sound stage. KD Lang’s voice is of course why you enjoy this recording.

Man, I hadn't listened to this in years!! WHAT a sweet surprise this 25th Anniversary edition is, especially with the vinyl purchase providing a digital download to boot. I hear sounds and instrumentation on the vinyl that I never heard before in the original release of this--it's rich, lush, and beautiful. The cover, with it's reworked artwork and corrugated look is such a great gift to vinyl collectors like myself. If you collect vinyl and love kd, or just love great music, don't miss this one, cuz it's a keeper!!!

A footnote, the Unplugged version on the second album is to die for. kd is a consummate artist, and she shines, hypnotically, spellbindingly here....just WOW!!!

Ingenue always was THE k.d. lang album - the one where the somewhat gauche Canadian country singer transformed herself into a grown up songstress with a voice to die for. This reissue builds on what was already the best, and makes it better. Remastered sound as smooth as silk, and a second disk of MTV live versions of eight of the songs from the original album - what's not to love? John Plowright reviews the MP3 Download version, and in doing so unwittingly sells the CD version a bit short, as the overall package is gorgeous. The booklet includes the lyrics and track details, yes, but adds a superb essay and brilliant illustrations, four of which are reproduced again as "art cards". The whole lot is in a super little box with a textured finish and the set just oozes class. If you've never owned Ingenue before buy it now. If like me you've already got the original CD issue, don't hesitate - buy this too - you will not regret it!
