Ubuntu 9.10の外観を変える
720x400の環境では縦の幅が小さすぎたので、縦の長さを稼ぐため、フォントサイズの縮小と上下のパネル（タスクバーみたいなやつ）のautohide (自動的に隠す) の有効化を行なった。
minimization of system font size
- open a configuration windows from System > Preferences > Appearance
- select Font tab
- set all fonts (except for fixed font) with size of 6 pt
- set the fixed font with size of 8 pt
- the default font size for any fonts was 10 pt
- close the window
autohide of top/bottom panels
- open the panel property window with right-click on each panel and selection of Properties
- check on Autohide
- close the window
the results
- obtained a little bit long area but still not enough...＞＜
