Simple Mail Checker for Gmail™の開発を終了することにしました。

Simple Mail Checker for Gmail™は今回のバージョンを持って開発を終了することにしました。

当時、複数のGmailを確認できる便利なExtensionがなかったため、
個人的に作成したことから始まりましたが、
こんなにも多くのユーザに使ってもらえるとは思っても見ませんでした。

2010年9月に公開してから２年以上経ちますが、最初は仲間内だけで使ってもらおうと思っていたため、デザインも当てていない状態だったのですが、
使い始めてくれた人からの問い合わせが予想以上に多くあったため、広く公開することに至りました。

リリースした当初、ユーザの方と何度もメールでやり取りしながら、Extensionを改善していくというプロセスはとても面白く、また自分が気づかなかったことに、気づかせてもらえていたので、すごくいい体験でした。

ユーザ目線で開発することの大切さを教えてもらえましたし、自分が想像していた以上にいろんな感じ方があるのだなと痛感したこともありました。

実は今でもたくさんの要望をいただいており、追加したい機能は山ほどありますが、
時間が取れていないため、ずっとペンディング状態になっています。
また、他に素晴らしいExtensionが揃ってきたこと、Googleが公式にMulti Accountに対応したことからこのExtensionの役割はもう十分に果たしたかなと思っています。

これまでChrome Storeを通してたくさんの評価、コメントをいただいて、また多くの人に使ってもらえたことに、とても嬉しく思っています。

「Checker Plus for Gmail™」というExtensionがとても良くできており、マルチアカウントに問題なく対応しているため、今後も利用したいと思っている方は、こちらをお勧めします。

I'm opting to discontinue development on Simple Mail Checker for Gamil™" of Chrome browser.

At that time, because I was not able to find useful other gmail extension, I was creating this extension for personal use.
but I was surprised that this is used by many users.

this was published at Sep 2012 to used for myself and friends.
but I had more comments than I thought,
so I decide to publish for many users.

I had improved this extension while I communicate with users by email.
It was exciting and valuable experiences.
and, I was taught that importance of Development User-Friendly.

I'm received many requests from users.
I want to create many funcitons, but I haven't a time.
so these is pending now.
in the now, the chrome has many useful extension and google supports multi accounts.
I think that Simple Mail Checker for Gmail has completed its role in gmail extension.

I felt so happy to makes users happy.
