弘法さん／"KOBO-SAN"

季節／SEASON

2月の弘法さん、東寺へ。
今日も寒いし、午後からだし、人出はそうでもないのでは
と思った私が甘かったです。　すごい人。
でも、それはとてもよいこと。
市では、いつも園芸コーナーを見るのを楽しみにしているのですが
今回は季節感あふれる　盆梅　っぽいものも見かけました。
（確認していないので　っぽい　と書かせて頂くことに）
盆梅（ボンバイ）は、盆栽サイズの梅。
お花が咲くとそれはそれは見事なのだそうです。
梅の場合は薫りもステキなので、そういう意味でも
きっとステキですね。
京都の梅は、まだ。今年は少し遅くなるかもしれません。

I went to TOJI for the "KOBO-SAN" for this month.
It was still cold and I went out from the afternoon
so I didn't expect too much of a crowd, but I was mistaken.
There were lots of people, but that's a great thing.
At the market, I enjoy browsing in the gardening merchants area.
I saw some "BONBAI (Plum Bonsai)"-ish items which reflected
the feel of the season.
(I'm not positive if they were really BONBAI, so let me put
a little "-ish" up there)
BONBAI is small plums in BONSAI size.
I hear it's amazing when the flowers bloom.
Plum flowers have beautiful frangrance, so aroma-wise
it must be wonderful, too.
Kyoto's plum trees are not blooming yet.
We may see flowers a little later than usual this year.
