卒業時にGmailのメールデータをエクスポートできるようになる

龍谷大学は Google Apps for Education を導入している.

卒業すると, 学籍番号=全学認証アカウント=Google Appsアカウント 学籍番号@mail.ryukoku.ac.jp を失うことになるが, それと同時に, Gmail に蓄えた学習成果物やソーシャルネットワークを手放すというのは考えられない. そこで, http://d.hatena.ne.jp/hig3r/20120402/1333348833 あたりでは, POP3やIMAP4でメールを移行する方法を探っていた.

ここで朗報. Gmailのデータがいつでもエクスポートできるようになる(どんなフォーマットで, どこにインポートできるのかは未調査). すでに龍谷大学のGoogle AppsでもCalendarとDriveのダウンロードの選択肢が現れた(ページ右上のメールアドレス > アカウント > 自分のデータをダウンロード)ので, Mailでも有効化されるのでしょう.

You can now export your emails and calendar events in addition to the other supported products using Google Takeout. Access to Google Takeout can be controlled through the Admin console.
