■タイ語検索のネックは単語切り分け 
日本語の形態素分析のようにタイ語では単語をどこで切るのかが、タイ語検索上で問題になる。サイアムグルSiamguruの検索アルゴリズムは自然言語処理NLPを使うことで検索速度を上げている。siamguruの検索エンジンはタイのビジネスで使われているCRMソフトのバックボーンになっている。
While many Internet users are familiar with SiamGuru’s search engine, which was launched in June 2000, few realise that the technology developed by Surapan and his SiamGuru team required dealing with unique Thai-language structural issues, particularly the lack of spacing between words.
Siamguru then developed a search engine with algorithms that could swiftly sort through any data input typed in Thai. The power of SiamGuru’s search engine is derived from the company’s expertise in a branch of artificial intelligence called “natural language processing” – or NLP.

■サーバー込みの超軽量wikiであるDidiWiki 
サーバー込みで約25kしかない超軽量wikiであるDidiWikiはlinux向けに開発されたが、コンパイルすれば他のosでも可能かもしれないとのこと。
DidiWiki is a small and simple WikiWikiWeb implementation written in C. Its intended for personal use for notes, Todo's etc. It includes its own webserver and weighs in at approx 25k stripped, making it practical for embedded use ( eg handhelds ).
Hopefully its as simple as just compiling, running and pointing your browser at it.
■中国yahoo!が世界で始めてのアバター・メールのサービス開始 
中国yahoo!が世界で始めてのアバター・メール替身邮のサービスを開始した。一つのメールボックスに500までのアバター・メールのアドレスを使用できる。スパムがたまれば、ただそのアドレス捨てるだけで済む。また中国yahoo!は年末には現在、標準化機構IETFに提出されているメール送信者を確定できるドメイン・キーを使った認証方式を開始する予定。
据了解，所谓“替身邮”，是指用户可注册500个“替身邮”地址，相当于500个邮箱别名，用户可以在不同的场合使用不同的替身地址，每个地址都可以收发邮件，在收件箱中也可以浏览所有替身地址的邮件。按照雅虎中国相关负责人的介绍，如果该用户对某一替身邮件地址里的邮件不再感兴趣，或者发现涌入垃圾邮件，可以关闭替身地址，而不会对原始地址造成任何伤害。
