色紙の新しい使い方！

「色紙」というと、思い浮かぶのは“サイン色紙”ですが、絵を描く画材としての色紙をもっと身近に感じていただきたい！ということで、京都色紙短冊協同組合様との共催により、色紙にマンガやイラストを描いてもらうワークショップ「色紙にマンガを描こう！」を、2010年5月15日（土）〜7月4日（日）の土日祝、計16回に渡って開催しました。
インクが色紙ににじんだり、しみこんだりする独特の紙質を体感しながらの楽しい内容となりました。
作画テーマは「未来のボク、私」。
普段描き慣れない「色紙」を使うことによって、従来のマンガ・イラストの発想をより柔軟にしてもらい、また、色紙の持つ利便性と可能性を体感してもらいました。
集まった作品の中から、協同組合40周年記念として各賞を選び、8月1日に「組合賞」「知事賞」「市長賞」など、計12賞の表彰式および、8月7日まではそれらの展示が実施されます。

Do you know "Shikishi" ?

Shikishi is a kind of paperboard which is commonly known for its square shape made with Japanese washi paper. People often use it as autograph board. However to find creative view of using shikishi we held a workshop from May 15th until July 4th this year with Kyoto Shikishi Tanzaku Cooperative.
Workshop was held 16 times every weekend and many people enjoyed special texture of Shikishi.
The theme was "Myself in the future".
By using Shikishi which isn't commonly used for drawing, people could experience the possibility and utilization of Shikishi that could be more flexible than usual manga or illustration.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the cooperative we organized a competition and winning entries will be exhibited from Aug 1st until 7th.

Exhibition period : Aug 1st until 7th (commendation ceremony will be held on the first day)
Place : entrance of the Kyoto International manga museum
