≪Kyoto MaGiC news≫ No.3 "Takemoto Nobara talk event"

Kyoto MaGiC's first event was held in the end of November. Takemoto Nobara who is very versed in Nakahara Juniichi and Takahashi Macoto was invited to give a talk at the museum.

■Takemoto Nobara talk show

Takemoto showed up in a black jacket, rocking horses and cat ear headband. My eyes were glued onto his skinny legs. I wish I took some of his whole body photo.

He spoke about his fashion as well as Nakahara Juniichi and Takahashi Macoto.

The relationship between Takemoto and Nakahara began with his magazine he published in his early period which was called "Soreinu" which came from "Soreiyu" by Nakahara. He made a cover for a novel by Yoshiya Nobuko which he directed with Nakahara's illustration.

His picture book "Urokohime"'s illustration was done by Takahashi Macoto.
Takahashi cooked a nasty drink which was appeared in the book to understand Nobara's world to illustrate it.

Takemoto thinks, to do lolita fashion you need to try hard on everything which even may look not that important. So he had cat ear throughout his journey even on Shinkansen (bullet train) to show his spirit.

He also mentioned anime and pop idol he's into.

How kind he was to his fans made me think that he will keep leading girls in the longer future as one of the founder in the girl's culture.

It was very nice to see lots of girls in lolita fashion in the museum. This event was held to commemorate Kyoto MaGiC's start.

By the way have you read his latest book "Sakura no Sono"? It was kind of new style for him with light novel look illustration.

To cerebrate this publication, autograph event will be held at the museum on February 11th.
