英国に住んでいて楽しいこともあれば悲しいこともある。（数少ない）楽しいことの1つは、音楽ドキュメンタリー番組が豊富だということです。さすが天下の国営放送ともいうべきか、BBC秘蔵の歴史的価値のある映像にご本人の現在のインタビューを交えたドキュメンタリー番組が1時間、その後に当時のTop of the Popsなどの音楽番組の特集が1時間つづくのが定番です。
英国在住であればiPlayerというBBC見逃し番組視聴サービスがあるので、うっかり見逃しても大丈夫。さらに最近では外国のIPアドレスを利用できるサービスがあるらしく、イギリスのものを利用すれば日本からでも見られるとか見られないとか(未確認ですので、成功した方は教えてください）

最近ヒットだったのはこちら、2009年のブラー再結成を追った番組。結成以前の映像から、デビュー、オアシスとの対決、メンバー間の確執、再結成に至るまで、映像を振り返りつつメンバーに現在の思いを語ってもらうという、ロキノンも真っ青な濃厚ドキュメンタリーでした。ちなみにデーモンとグレアムのフレンチキッスなんていうロック腐女子には垂涎もののシーンがありましたことを報告しておきます。
