Honey from Senegal!

２年間ＪＩＣＡのボランティアでセネガルの養蜂をやっていた粕谷さんが来ました。彼は以前私達の会社にいた、毛利さんと仕事をやっていまして、マングローブのハチミツを持ってきてくれました。

日本のミツバチのおとなしさに驚いていました。アフリカのミツバチは５メートル近くにいたらアタックするらしい！
マングローブのハチミツの味は最高！なんかかりんとうみたい！
　　

Today Kasuya-san came to bring us Mangrove honey from Senegal! Kasuya-san was there for 2 years as a volunteer under the JICA program and he was working with our ex-colleague, Mori-san. The 2 jars he brought were the ones that came from the villages where Mori-san was assisting. Kasuya-san was really surprised to see how quiet Japanese honeybees are. He was telling us that African honeybees attack if you enter a 5 meter radius! The taste of the honey, you ask? Quite like molasses!
