判決によると、被告は９９年３月、同県内の路上で見かけた小学３年生の女児（当時９）を無理やり車に押し込み、暴行を加えたうえで強姦し、２０日間のけがを負わせたほか、２００１年〜０２年、当時１０歳と８歳の女児にも、体を持ち上げて車内に押し込み、「殺すぞ」などと脅して強姦し、３週間〜１カ月のけがを負わせた。また、２００８年３月、同県知多郡のホテルで、中学１年生に現金を渡す約束をしてみだらな行為をした。
　久保裁判長は「全く抵抗できない児童をビデオカメラで撮影するなどしており、被害を受けた児童の恐怖心、恥辱感、精神的肉体的苦痛は大きく、手術を必要とした治療を受けるなど被害の結果は重大だ」と指摘。一方で「懲戒解雇され、一定の社会的制裁を受けている」と述べた。
　被告は同県美浜町の中学校教諭だった０８年７月、中学１年の少女に現金を渡す約束をして買春したとして児童買春・児童ポルノ禁止法違反容疑で逮捕され、県警が自宅を家宅捜索し、ビデオなどを押収。わいせつな画像が映っており、解析するなどして強姦致傷事件が発覚したという。

オーストラリア政府はこのほど、インターネット上の児童ポルノやレイプを含む性暴力、犯罪指南などの禁止コンテンツ（情報の内容）に国民がアクセスできないよう法改正する方針を発表した。政府は、有害情報から国民を守るためと説明しているが、強制的措置の導入とあって、中国のような政府による検閲だとの批判も出ている。

Australia defends disputed web filter plan

SYDNEY — Australia on Wednesday dismissed as "baseless" claims it was proposing a China-style plan for mandatory filtering of the Internet and denied the system could be abused to silence free speech.
Communications Minister Stephen Conroy hit back at criticism of his plan to block access to sites featuring material such as rape, drug use, bestiality and child sex abuse.
"The claims that the Australian government plans to implement a censorship regime similar to China or Iran are baseless," Conroy told AFP.
