ClamXav のアンインストール

ClamXav の 1.1.1 は Snow Leopard 対応じゃないのだけどそのままになってた。で、2.0.5 にしようかな？と思ったのだけど、なんとなくウィルスバスター for Mac にしてみようと思ってインストーラを起動したら、ClamXav をアンインストールしろとダイアログが出た。同じウィルス物なのでぶつかるのかな〜なんて思ってアンインストールをしたのだけど、ちょっと面倒だったのでメモ。

2011/05/19 Updated : 試用期間が過ぎたアンチウィルス・マルウェアソフトをアンインストールする方法という記事で最近のものをまとめてみました。ClamXav も Engine Remover をわざわざダウンロードする必用がなくなったり、この記事とは違う部分があるのでこちらも確認してみてください。

Engine Remover が必要

ココを読むと、ClamXav はアンインストールに Engine Remover という物が必要らしい。リンクからダウンロードして展開された（自分のシステムでは自動で zip が展開される）clamavEngineREMOVER.command をダブルクリック。するとターミナルが起動してコマンドが実行される。途中管理者のパスワードが聞かれるので入力するとファイルが削除されて終了。

This program will REMOVE any version of the ClamAV engine installed by ClamXav, including the clamav user (excluding Tiger).
It will not remove an installation made by Fink or Darwinports.
If you don't know what either of those are, you probably don't need to worry!

You may now be asked for your administrator password.
For security reasons, nothing will appear on screen when you type.
Trust your fingers and hit the return/enter key when you're done.

As you're running OS X 10.4 or higher, the clamav user was not removed because it was created by Apple.
The actual engine and any schedules you had set have been removed though


REMOVER has now finished.
Drag the ClamXav application to the trash and you're done.
You do not need to restart or logout, just close this window.

でも、このログを見る限りは削除され得るファイルが無かったみたいだけど…

後はアプリケーションフォルダにある ClamXav 本体をゴミ箱に入れて終了。気になるなら自分のフォルダの Library/Preference/ にある ClamXav 関係の設定ファイル（uk.co.markallan.clamxav.plist）もゴミ箱へ捨てる。

これでアンインストールは終了。
無事、ウィルスバスター for Mac をインストールする事ができた。
30日使ってみて、そのまま使用し続けるのか ClamXav 2.0.5 に戻すのか、その辺りはどうなるかわからないな〜。
