Hatena Haiku is like a mediterranean agora

To me, Hatena Haiku is a bit like a mediterranean agora. You meet nice people, play fun little games in the passing. You can play your music, can relax and draw a picture. All kinds of artists leave paintings on the pavement, or recite poetry they make up.

At some times of the day it is lonely and peaceful, at other times there are noisy kids that wreak havoc all over the place.

Aaron is the friendly constable, he quietly removes the con men, tricksters and all the bad guys, and he will join a game if he has the time.

I feel like I moved my desk to a window facing this agora, and every now and then it lures me to a stroll.

borisduckborisduck 2010/02/17 02:49 that was good it realy shows what haiku is like. And by the way my icon is not working.

r0mer0r0mer0 2010/02/18 19:38 Thank you for taking the time to comment id:borisduck. Haiku today is not the same as it was when I wrote this. The Japanese word chain game was more often illustrated with drawings or images from the web, the "Chain game purely using image and reading atmosphere without any conceptual imagination" had very witty and funny connections and there where haiku poems posted several times a day. All in all, the site was visited by incredible artists who showed their talent. I try to keep some of the old spirit alive by posting a haiku, a photo, a drawing once in a while. Maybe it will again be like it was, after all, it was summer. Everything seems to bleak in winter.
