... and nothing is lost by pushing Thunderbird out of the nest, especially since an independent Thunderbird would likely still have access to Mozilla's considerable financial resources.

昨日の続きなので、昨日分に加えた文を再掲。

• Google の GMail との関係、Google から Thundebird 新機構への資金提供はどうなるのかといった問題をはっきりさせないうちには、コンセンサスを形成出来はしないだろう。
• そう、要は Mozilla 財団の財布の紐を握っている Google の出方次第で、どうとでもなるのではないか。
• ミッチェルが Thunderbird -- Google question で、今回の提案は Google とは無関係だと言っても、具体的に Thunderbird の成り行きをどうにか始末しようとする時、Google 抜きに何を考えても無駄だと思う。
