サイエンス・コミュニケーションのエスカレータ

突然ですが、論文というか記事紹介。
Ann Van der Auweraert, "The Science Communication Escalator",
International Journal of Community Based Research No.6, July 2005, 5-7.
ベルギーの方だそうです。

英語ばかりで申し訳ないのですが、
"Public Understanding of Science"
"Public Awareness of Science"
"Public Engagement of Science"
"Public Participation of Science"
という４つの段階を整理しています。

進化して下に行くわけではなく、扱う内容によるのでしょう。
どういう科学についてのコミュニケーションかをしぼらないと、
表現も議論も空回りになってしまうので、
そのマッピングとして使いやすそう。
たまには立ち位置を変えてみるのも経験になるんだろうと思う。

最後の from A to B のところも有用。
from knowledge-driven to problem solving-driven とか
from objective knowledge to socially constructed knowledge とか。

金６基礎論の初回で interpreter や communicator や facilitator とか、
いっぱいでてきたけど、やっぱり英語ばっかりだった。
日本語で語れるようになれるかどうか。
