It's literally official now, as European Union officials have finally approved the merger after several weeks of deliberating on the issue. Approval by the European Commission was necessary because Vivendi (the owner of Blizzard and now the buyer of Activision, if you haven't been keeping up with all this) is a French media company, and therefore subject to EU business laws and antitrust concerns. Officials were mulling over the merger because of fears that Vivendi's ownership of Universal Music Group would give Activision Blizzard an unfair advantage in licensing music for games like Guitar Hero. They finally decided that it's not a threat to the health of the market, and approved the merger. So there it is. It's done. The government can't save you now; Activision Blizzard is your new master. I tremble in terror before the fictional (yet somehow inevitable) Bard class and its l33t Guitar Hero skillz! I'm not a Euro hater. What I am is a big government hater... unfortunately Europe is all about some big government. It disgust me that Blizzard and Activison have to get approval from some arbitrary economic regulatory committee... One of my favorite things to do is to run the level 70 five mans with friends, all of us running on our fourth or fifth alt. It's kinda fun! More after the break! "The Plan Everybody in the party should start by getting a Chrono Beacon from the NPS. Buff up right away and fight your way till medivh (around 10 lvl 70 non elite beasts). Once you get close to Medivh, I'd say 20 yards, the encounter will start and the first rift will open. Basically, you want to dps the Rift Lords down as fast as possible to have the least spawns possible. The spawns will mostly have 2 target, either Medivh or your healers. Now we have 2 cases: Either you have decent dps and there won't be more than 4 or 5 spawns per portal, or your dps will slack and you'll have more spawns. If you can manage to kill the Rift Lord with 5 or less spawns, then do it and let the spawns go wherever they want. If not, let 4 people focus on the Rift Lord and let 1 person handle the spawns. The Group I'll tell you the group we used when we cleared the instance. Notice that this is not a needed group, just the one I had which seemed quite nice to me: Warrior - Our tank was fury specced, but did a nice job. Keeping aggro wasn't too much of a problem but a protection warrior might be more useful Rogue - Our rogue was quite decently geared and could dish out some decent damage. He will enventually have to evasion-tank on the second boss for a few seconds Paladin - Our paladin was holy specced with some good +healing gear. He will be your main healer during the encounter since he could get some aggro from the spawns (if you are using the nuke-rift-lord-technic) and plate will help him. His bubbles will also come in handy. wow gold Priest - Our priest was used for damage and for healing.

He had some very good damage gear (+600 dmg), which means he could pretty much nuke single targets. He had a damage discipline spec, allowing him to have Divine Spirit which was quite handy. When fighting rift lord, he used his damage gear and switched to healing gear for bosses. Mage - Our mage pwned so hard, you can't even imag... wow lvl service Oh, well, I was there and did some dmg, spec isn't important, even if Blast Wave and Dragon's Breath come in handy here. The different rifts Rifts 1 - 5 - Shouldn't be too much of a problem, focus on Rift Lord, handle the adds once the rift is closed, rest and get to the next one Rift 6 - First boss called Chrono Lord Deja. This is a basic tank and spank fight. Uses some kind of AOE (nature based) that can be easily outhealed. Notice that the spawns will continue even when fighting bosses. wow gold We had me dpsing all the adds while the rest of the party focused on Deja Rifts 7 - 11 - Now you'll start be become nervous. The rifts will spawn a lot faster, but still nothing you can't handle. You might eventually use you first Chrono Beacon on the 11th rift to clear it as fast as possible to have time to rest " "What's happening. Basically, you get back in time when Medivh is opening the Dark Portal. Bad Dragonskins try to stop him. wow leveln Time rifts will open where mobs will spawn. The rifts are timer based, which means that more than one rift can be open at the same time. If the spawns manage to kill Medivh, you failed and you need to reset the instance. Same goes if they manage to kill you.

Notice that if you talk to the NPC at the beginning of the instance, you will recieve an item called 'Chrono Beacon' which will be very useful. wow level service Time Rifts The time rifts can open at 4 different spots on your map (East / West / North / North East). Like described before, Dragonskins will spawn. There will be 1 Rift Lord per portal, this is the only elite. As soon as you've killed this Rift Lord, the Portal will close. As long as the portal remains open, more non elite dragonskins will spawn. You will some (like 15 seconds) time to rest after a rift. The Rift Lords You may have 4 different sorts or Rift Lords spawning, here are the cases Warlock - AOE Shadowbolt / Fear on second highest aggro target / Curse increasing spell damage taken by 50%(To do: Shadow Aura / Fear Ward / Decurse) Mage - Instant Pyroblast on random target / Blastwave / Frostbolt (To do: Fire Aura) Warrior 1 - Sunder Armor Warrior 2 - Mortal Strike Basically, you're happy if you get a melee, they aren't too hard to handle but have a lot of HP. The two casters are kinda squishy but can nuke pretty badly. " .

"Little note about the succubus before I say how to use her- Warlocks already have useful spells that Mages don't, and as such, the Succubus was designed to give Warlocks a quasi-CC with also having her own weaknesses. Indeed, she only lasts 15 seconds, she goes down like a fly and her mana pool is limited; she takes up a demon slot and last but not least she also continously makes that stupid joke that just is not funny! With that said, properly handled, the Succubus can CC just as well as a Polymorph against Humanoids, but this ability on a warlock naturally requires a little more complex use and awaremess than the Mage's variant. Focus Targeting and the One-Size Fits All Macro In order to maximize the effectiveness of the Succubus, you will need to understand Focus. Apply Focus: /focus Remove Focus: /clearfocus Focus is a way to select a target and refer to that target over and over again in a macro, directing spells as that focused target without having to actually target it yourself. This is the crux of using the Succubus well. First, simply type /focus when targeting the mob you need Charmed, and the mob's frame will highlight and light up. This means you have that target focused. Then, use this macro: /cast [target=focus] Seduction This macro will mean that your Succubus casts her Seduction spell, on the focused target; meaning you don't have to do anything while she takes care of it. All you need to do is push the button when it runs out, which can be bound to any key- it needs to be put on the hotbar and that button keybound via the Keybindings Menu in the main menu. wow gold Personally, I have my macro on the key combination Alt+` (the key left of the 1 key).

Now here, we have this macro; a macro that literally ends all other seduction macroes. /clearfocus [modifier:alt] /focus [target=focus,noexists]; [target=focus,dead] /clearfocus [target=focus,help] /petstay /petfollow /stopcasting /cast [pet:succubus,target=focus,exists,harm] Seduction; Seduction This macro does the following: * Upon use, the macro will Focus your target, and have your succubus Seduce it. * When used for the second time, and your Focused target, i.e. the Seduction target, is alive, it will re-seduce it, regardless of what your current target is. wow lvl service It will not focus your current target, and seduce that; it will re-seduce it's focused target. * If used during Seduction, it will break the seduction and re-seduce the focused target. * If clicked while ""Alt"" is being pressed, it will cancel the previous focus and assign a new focus on your current target. " "Rift 12 - Tricky part! Second boss called Temporus. He has an ability like Fankriss, a stacking debuff reducing healing taken by 10% which stacks up to 10 times. wow gold You don't want your tank to have more than 6 debuffs. Now you might be lucky with resists and stuff like that but don't count on it. If your tank has 6 debuffs and you're far away from killing the boss, make sure your rogue is second highest in damage and use a little Blessing of Protection on your warrior. The debuff lasts 10 seconds, which means our rogue will have to Evasion-Tank for this duration. Spamheal him! You can imagine that you don't want this fight to last too long (if needed, use Shieldwall on this boss, you won't need it later). wow leveln Have the whole group focusing on the boss. Once there are 4 spawns on him, pop up another Chrono Beacon next to him, your dragon will take care of the mobs Rifts 13-17 - Rifts open quite fast, focus dps on Rift Lords! Keep your 3 last Chrono Beacons for waves 15 / 16 / 17, don't hesitate to pop them there.

You'll have to deal with waves 13 and 14 as good as you can. Rift 18 - Last boss, Aeonus. wow level service Quite a joke, don't let him face the raid. He has a frontal AOE and uses an AOE Timelapse for 3 seconds on the whole party. Keep a Heal over Time on your maintank and loot! Additional Infos Use potions! For our first tries, we potted up like hell, healers using Adepts and Healing Power Elixir, me using Wizard Oil and Adept's Elixir and our melee having Mongoose. Cooking can be very handy here too. Our tank popped a flask if I remember corretly, it's a nice help, but not necessary needed. On our third run, we managed to clear the whole rifts without using potions and having our 5 Chrono Beacons for the last boss. Basically, we stood there while they killed him :D I hope this helps you a bit and you will enjoy this instance as much as I did! " .

" Additionally, the second important point to note is that the Succubus' Seduced Target, your Focused Target, will have a clear threat list if nothing but your Succubus has directly interacted with it, upon coming out of Seduction. The mob will do one of three things: A) Attack your Succubus as it is the only entity that has actually interacted with the mob by placing the Seduction debuff on the target. B) Attack the target that has done the most relevant healing. C) Attack the target that accidentally hit it with a damaging AoE spell. These three actions are the most common, and they can be circumvented with the use of ""Searing Pain"", a Warlock ability that takes 1.5 seconds to cast and deals 500-or-so damage. wow gold The damage Searing Pain deals is unique in that it will deal twice as much threat as any normal attack. Using Searing Pain on your focused mob prior to Seduction (not during!) will ensure that the mob will attack you; while this doesn't sound like a good idea at first, it will be rapidly learned that it's better to have the mob where it's alot more obvious to you that the seduce has broken or the mob cannot be seduced for any reason than to have it out of sight, knocking your favourite Priest on their hindquarters. With the combination of both the focus-method-macro and a duration-watch addon such as Dotimer or Natur's Bars, Succubus management is alot easier to swallow. " "This one macro is all you need for correct Succubus useage. Many mobs will have a high Shadow Resistance due to Shadow Protection buffs, or a natural Shadow Resistance. wow lvl service For these mobs, Seduce will very often resist and the mob will run wild. In this case, the Curse spell ""Curse of Shadow"", lowering Shadow Resistance by 60-80 points, is essential.

Placing it on the target prior to the Seduction itself will lower the target's Shadow Resistance to almost zero, allowing easy Seductions time and time again. Monitoring Seduction The Succubus' Seduction only lasts 15 seconds, so how can you tell when it's run out. Personally, I use Dotimer, the addon that displays your Damage Over Time's duration in a window. wow gold This addon will additionally show the duration of your Succubus' Seduction, or indeed, if it's Seducing at all. If the Seduction bar is present, then it's being seduced. If it's not, and it should be (or your Succubus is walking around beside you) then it's not seducing, and such, hit the macro. If the Seduce bar is present on your addon, then you can monitor it to know exactly when the Seduce will break, and when a re-application is needed. There are also addons such as PerlUnitFrames that will allow you to monitor the debuff list of your focused target, in a different unit frame completely. wow leveln This is equally helpful in knowing exactly what is happening to your focused target- if the target receives a DoT, for example, then you'd quickly get confused as to why your succubus isn't seducing properly. Two important points to note is that the Succubus sports a severely low health pool. My Succubus has a health pool of almost 3500 health points. This, combined with her low armour, makes her as fragile as glass. Having her near fighting mobs will guarantee certain death, very quickly. wow level service Her Seduction has a 30 yard range- that's the distance of a Shadowbolt, Fireball, et cetera- manipulating her position using Stay and Follow to have her out of harm's way while Seducing is critical to her, and thusly your party's, survival.

Many warriors choose the Tauren race in part because of their size. I wouldn't personally want to have what appealed to me about my character's race start to change. Mino pointed out that size is indeed a valid racial appeal. Many people enjoy Gnomes because of their size, the different perspective, and the unique gameplay experiences associated with rolling a Gnome (not literally, although I do hear that is a common pass-time for Tauren). Size does matter. Boven also had a very valid point about consistency. Yes, sometimes graphics do strange things like clip through tails, or the ground. My Orc's axes clip through my mount; but I don't want them to be tiny. wow powerleveling Sometimes, there's a little thing called ""willing suspension of disbelief."" Boven: Really. Isn't it enough that we accept the fact that a 9+ foot tall bipedal bull can somehow get sapped and backstabbed by a 2 foot tall gnome. or that when we hit said gnome, it doesn't go flying over the horizon. C'mon guys. wow honor Give us our real weapons back. Actually, as Blizzard is attempting to make their graphics make more sense, they have merely created a new inconsistency. Many players point out that Elves with the same weapons have a larger model when sheathed. Considering the size difference between a Night or Blood Elf and a Tauren, the result does look pretty weird. cheap wow gold In many cases, the weapons don't even look proportionate to the Tauren character itself. I would also join several of the forum-goers in asking a simple question. Why on earth did something like this get addressed, while there are things that are more important that need fixing.

While Tauren weaponry will now arguably look more realistic by not traveling through the floor in 50% of gameplay, Karthun points out that it might have been more useful if Blizzard had fixed the long-tolerated feral druid cat range bug instead. Of course, if Blizzard is intent on fixing animation issues, then I have a bone to pick with the riding Talbuks. wow honor It seems as though, when I press space bar to rear my mount up, my mount's head smashes straight back, through my face, and let's me see through the front of its neck. "About a week and a half ago I reported on an experience I had in Mount Hyjal while fighting Azgalor. While the fight went fine and we did him in one try, I wasn't on Azgalor's threat list and thus did not get any loot. I wasn't on the threat table because I had to tank some spawned demons up and away from the rest of the raid. It was a rather nice conflict of game mechanics. This all happened on Tuesday, March 18th. By Saturday, March 22nd, I had the two shiny pieces of loot that were coming to me: Glory of the Defender and Onslaught Handguards. Specialist Game Master Skelend had sent me the items, along with a form letter apologizing for the issues we experienced in game. I was quite happy to see this resolved. I was even more pleased that it was resolved quickly and did not take a few weeks; as many people, both those of you who left comments and friends of mine that I talked to, said it would. So what are we doing to make sure this never happens again. Well for one thing, all the melee is hitting the boss now with a ranged weapon after the tank gets a couple hits in. wow powerleveling That's pretty much all we can do to assure this problem doesn't pop up again for us. Despite a few enquires I've made, there is no word from Blizzard if they've fixed this. I suspect that one day it'll just be hotfixed without much fanfare. Immediately all the Taurens ran towards the Orcish army, and amazingly, the Orcs were being slaughtered. Once the Orcs knew what was happening, they already lost over a hundred men. cheap wow gold They were not frightened though, and grabbed their battle axes to crush these Taurens. Although the Taurens were very successful in the first minutes of the battle, using the surprise-element, they seemed to be overpowered by the huge amount of Orcs. I was pretty sure the Taurens were about to die. Not one would survive. And indeed, there were a lot of casualties on the side of the Taurens. Of course, a lot of Orcish warriors also died, but their force was so big, it didn't seem to matter much. The Taurens were doomed to lose this war, which seemed pointless to me. wow power level I didn't know why these two races were fighting each other. But then suddenly, someone of another race appeared on the side of the Taurens. A race, which I knew very well, since it was mine. A human sorcerer appeared on the battlefield. I just had to look for one second, and then I knew this sorcerer was extremely powerful, and he seemed strong enough to be able to destroy the whole army of Orcs with one strike. wow gold The sorcerer was surrounded by light, which showed the extreme amount of energy and mana in the sorcerer. The Orcs had noticed the sorcerer too now. It became silent on the battlefield. The Orcs forgot to fight back. The Taurens used this to retreat from battlefield, and they were now standing behind the magician. The spell used by the wizard was an unexpected one.

They slayed to survivors, and starting plundering their bodies. They removed everything of any value, and took it with them. Nobody had seen me, and they left. Leaving the bodies behind. I still haven't returned to my hometown, Goldshire, yet. I encountered a few Orcs which missed the battle (luckily for them) and were now raiding the area, although there was not much to raid. I'm not sure if I will survive. The amount of hostiles in the forest is still very big, and they kill everyone they see. A lot of dead bodies I found prove this. If you read this, I've lost my diary and I'm probably dead. Please tell my wife Myrkada and my children I love them. You can find them in Goldshire. Just ask in the Inn. Tell them my money is under the big oak with the feathers. They will understand."
