以前勤めていた高校で、高校３年生に配布していたプリント（ハンドアウト）がでてきた。
「読んでわかるとはどういうことなのか？」と題して、概要把握だけでは読めたことにならないという戒めの意味を込めて、当時の認知学習論を展開したものであった。
例えば、高校３年で次のような英文を読んだときに、「わからない」という学習者はどうすればいいのか？という問いに誠実に答えようとしたものである。
