今回採り上げるのはjust the ticketという熟語です。ticketには「切符」の他に「公認候補者名簿」「証書, 許可証」などの意味があり，さらに「（…に）適切な［あつらえ向きの］こと［もの］」という意味もあります（『プログレッシブ英和中辞典』小学館）。そして『ロングマン英和辞典』（桐原書店）にはbe just the ticketで「うってつけである」とありました。（Koyamamoto）
