You Tubeは動画の冒頭30秒間スキップできない広告を廃止すると発表し、2018年からは6秒間の広告が主流となるそうです。この変更は利用主の利便性向上を目的とし、広告主側も概ね賛成しているとのことです。

YouTube is to scrap "unskippable" 30-second advertisements on the video-streaming service, from 2018.
Google confirmed the plan to the BBC's Newsround programme, saying it wantedto focus on "formats that work well for both users and advertisers".
