Urawa wins AFC Champions League title
Urawa Reds on Saturday became the first J.League team to become the Asian champion since 2008, beating Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal 2-1 in aggregate in the two-leg final of the AFC Champions League. Urawa, which salvaged a 1-1 draw in the first leg, won the second leg 1-0 at Saitama Stadium. It was the club’s second Asian title, having also won in 2007. Gamba Osaka won the title in 2008.
