MS shutting down Live mesh in Feb 2013.

What is alternative?

Of course, Windows Skydrive.
But, Skydrive is missing the features of P2P file syncing, and Web Remote Desktop (which works well over firewalls) !

I explored WEB for some information.

Microsoft recommends LogMeIn as an alternative Web Remote Desktop (available over firewalls).
This is close to Live Mesh RDP , but not the same.
Can I trust LogMeIn.
Especially, I don't like the step of entering the "PC password" for LogMeIn. PC passowrd for someone ! That's awsome.

P2P file syncing may be provided by AeroFS
But I've not yet got an invitation.
I will wait for AeroFS, and before AeroFS available, I will use Skydrive.

What for Remote Desktop ?
Switch to LogMeIn??

I found an alternative.

Google chrome remote desktop app !!

That's the final answer.
Try that one.

2013年2月に、マイクロソフト LiveMeshサービス終了のお知らせ

LiveMeshが終了とのメールが、送られてきた (泣)

P2P同期ができて、さらに、ファイアーウォールを簡単に越えられるリモートデスクトップ(しかも早い)
という、優れものソフトだったのに。。。。。。

代替品として、提示されたのが、Skydrive、そして、ウエブリモートデスクトップとしては、LogMeIn。

Skydriveは、MSにデータを保存することにさえ妥協できればOKだが、
ファイアーウォールのこえられる簡単リモートデスクトップの代替品がちょっとみつからず。

今日は、土曜日というのに、朝から心のモヤモヤがとれず、
いろいろ情報収集。 LogMeInを使ってみたり、Packetixを試してみたり、、、、
しかししっくりこない。特にLogMeInは、遅いし、セキュリティが不安。
ログイン画面の前に、LogMeInにPCのパスワードを送るあたり(もちろん、覗き見してないと思いますが)が
生理的に無理でした。

いろいろ半日しらべて、なんと、
Google様が、だしているじゃないですか！

Chrome Remote Desktop.

使ってみると、速いし、Firewall気にしなくていいみたいだし、これに決定です。
